if an NPC has a repeated dialogue (see: Gus), will it still count toward friendship if you talk to them? Gus has a repeated dialogue both in his saloon, but also in pierre's shop my bet is that keep talking doesn't increase friendship everytime, because that would be too easy, but i wonder if they even get points by talking at least once a day, like that then my 2nd question is about crops: seed bags say stuff like "takes xx days", but is the first day the day of planting, or the day after that? oh boy, wrong section, could a mod please replace it to support?
I do not know the answer to the repeated dialog question but I know the 2nd one. The xx days does not count the day they are planted. Parsnips are listed as four days. If you plant <and water> them on day 1. then water day 2 (one) then water day 3 (two) then water day 4 (three) you harvest on day 5 (four) 1 + four = 5: day planted + xx days = day harvested 5 - four = 1. All of the plants work this way. If you plant <and water> on day 5 then water day 6 (one) then water day 7 (two) then water day 8 (three) then you can harvest on day 9 (four) 5 + four = 9: day planted + xx days = day harvested 9 - four = 5 I hope that helps
A character gives you Dialog friendship points once a day. There response does not matter. You do get less points if they are doing an animation for example when Gus is behind the bar polishing the glass he gives you less points than when he is walking around in Peirre's. The exercise class is another example if you get there while they are standing around you get more points then when the workout starts. Talking to then a second time does not help that same day.

new question (if a Mod could please rename it to "some questions i have", that'd be nice and more clear) what can be harmed by lightning, aside from crops and trees? i know the tappers, but never got my scarecrows damaged, for example oh, and do flowers need to be planted near a bee house to work, or dropped from inventory?
I have not seen lightning damage anything other than crops or trees. Flowers need to be planted there is a radius that a bee house will draw from. It will draw from the closest flower in this radius. Flower zone indicator for modified Honey.
This reminds me.... Is there a mod that "corrects" the bee house range to include the missing squares at the top and bottom right to make those rows three squares long instead of two? Or better still, to a proper diamond shape with an extra single square at top and bottom as well? I couldn't find anything on nexus, unless I was looking using the wrong search term

No, once they've grown they'll hang around for the rest of the season, unless you pick them, they get eaten by a crow or they get struck by lightning
I use the regular 4 place sprinkler you need to craft for the craft achievement to water flowers for my bee houses
