RELEASED RenTek: Reni's Armory (Discontinued) v1.5.1 Spirited Giraffe

The mod looks really promising and amazing, wish I can play it. I had a problem installing the mod.
here's the messages I got from the game when starting the game with this mod.



Is that because of some mod conflicts or anything? I'm really new to this game.

*scratch's head* hmmm.... My initial thoughts are mod incompatibility's, this theory comes to mind as I believe reni had help from another member of the starbound community, just to get the drone working, though it could be some other reason, this theory is a start, ill take a look into what I can and see what I can find.

 

Hey, you guys probably have found it by now but in the rentekbaddrone.monstertype you guys missed a comma at "feetOffset" : [0, -21] ( "feetOffset" : [0, -21], )

 

we have a fix on the upload, but yes we found it... eventually, it was a bit strange though because it was not recording the error to its full extent for us so it was a bit harder to find it, we did check over each file as a precaution so hopefully there shouldn't be too many more...

for this mod, its not required any more, with the mass of updates and fixes we have been doing, things got changed around a little bit.
Items of ours that would have required a "molten Core" now require a "RenTek Energy core", a Energy core can be made at an Anvil or one of our Armory Crafting Stations, at the cost of:
5 Core fragments, 2 Iron bars, and Glass block (smelt sand to make glass).

 

could you add some sort of railgun? That would make this awesome mod even more awesomer!

 

this is someone someone asked in the past, though i dont quite remember the given answer... ¬-¬ nor do i remember where and what page it was on... ¬-¬
but it is something we have planned, but we still have a few weapon's that were announced that were still working on and well before we add anything new we really want to get these few finally finished, of course different alterations of them may appear but that's simply though trial and error.

the other thing is usually when we make a new gun it takes probably a month before its even close to being a usable item, my sprite work isn't the greatest, though sometimes "awesomely detailed" as i have been told, designs are something that's a bit time consuming, not that its a bad thing, but its just that i want to make it look like a gun, yet be stand out unique, something that's new that brings it to life when it shoot's.

we will look into making railgun's but sometime in the future when we finish the current works in progress, also sorry about the long answer ^^;

the avali mod had a gun that acted like an rail gun man i wish that mod would update some time.

the only problem with Ryujinn being able to update the Avali mod is the entire conversion over to UG because of the changes from the last version this is something that isn't easy Dilrax and I and most likely every other mod creators like us who started during Enraged Koala and the versions before that can vouch for that, and as conversations about this have spoken as i remember someone once making a rough estimation on the difficulty of the work to be done though im paraphrasing a little here when i say this "the entire mod would quite literately be remade from the start again" well probably 90% of it would need to be rewritten just so its version compatible... though it would be nice ^^

as for this particular gun you speak of, fernworrier, i remember Ryuujin asking us about if we had any luck trying to make a "tunneling" bullet, though not as one which passed through blocks but one that destroyed blocks that it passed through, you might remember it as you posted about it as well.

 

Having an issue where all the gun parts recipes show up, but there is no gun recipe.

 

when you use the first HoloDisk Tier Card (RenTek: Station Holodisk), you will be able to build the Crafting stations, all weapon parts by default are also unlocked in this same Tier, from this point you will need to build the 1st Weapon HoloDisk Tier card (RenTek: Tier 1 HoloDisk), upon doing so and using the item, weapons will become available at the Main Armory Crafting Station.

 

I'm not quite sure how, but this mod appears to break the Erchius Mining Facility mission - and perhaps others beyond it. Whenever you kill one of the mobs inside that dungeon with this mod installed, all other mobs and the rest of the map generation itself completely lock up.

Once I use the disc that allows me to craft the RenTek crafting items, they do not appear in my crafting list. It unlocks the recipes, but I can't find them on any of my crafting devices.

 

with out checking i already know what the problem is, it would be the treasure pool for the drone as it use's a custom loot list, and im pretty sure it overwrites and doesn't merge... thus, a crash... i'll get onto a fix for that right away.

the stations are crafted at the anvil after using the first HoloDisk, every other unlocked RenTek item appear in the Provided Crafting stations of this mod.

 

Ah, I was using a better anvil than the basic. It only works with the first anvil, but thank you for the help!
