Ren's Big Long Impassioned Rant About Everything Wrong With Starbound (and how to fix it)

Just to chip in on bases: Yeah, monsters are a persistent problem but you know what solves that problem neatly? Turrets. Slap a few up, stick some decent weapons into them and the most you have to deal with is picking up the random drops periodically. A decent-sized building is only going to need four tops to get the job done consistently.

 

I would like to see the random gen guns more orderly as well OP.

I don't mind random gen weapons, but there should be a way to tell the difference between two of the same gun without looking at the status. Maybe the company that manufactured it should be an indication of the quality (stats) of the weapon?
