Release the game already (at least let us play :( )

Minecraft let people play as soon as they had something to play with. Starbound is working on vanity items every day, and not letting us touch the game.

I'm not comparing the two. Not saying it's the same situation. Not making any assumptions other than this one... I've been hearing about this game for over a year now. They now have a playable game that many of us already shelled out money for. I'd settle for a demo or something... Not saying they owe us anything. I know how defensive you Starbounders are. I'm just saying...

 

I forsee a locked thread in your future. I will use this power for evil, if it comes true.

Sorry that youre not patient enough to wait, but it looks like youre going to have to, whether you like it or not. Thats how time works sadly. :/

Dont worry, theyll release eventually, and when they do itll be all the fun they said it would be Plus more ^w^

 

The Starbound is not only working on vanity items at the moment the others things they are working are OR possible spoilers, OR not interesting for players/fans like us BUT NECESSARY

If the devs ( the creators ,just that) think the game is not ready to be showed then it's for a good reason

I'm at least as much as impatient as you are to play this game But If the devs think it's not ready yet I don't want to play

You just compared them. Right there. First two sentences.

And here, by pointing out that you paid money, you clearly implied that they did owe you something. The bottom line, however, is that the game is not done. They do appear to be working fast, but it's missing a number of essential pieces before it is even ready for beta.

Also... in before the lock!

 

i hate to say it but it's gonna take sometime before they can actually release the game due to testing adding more stuff and before they can add stuff in they have to thoroughly Test it for bugs/glitches
as much id like to play it now but i can wait i would want to play the game with fewer bugs to no bugs/glitches if there is any that could pop up later on

 

You could play Grim Dawn while you wait. Crate just released their alpha a couple of weeks ago. It's fun!

You are saying exactly that. and "we starbounders" aren't any more defensive than any other fanbase, and, we're not all "starbounders" you're generalising. Bottom line, they don't owe us anything and want a clean, bugfree experience from day 1 of beta, there's nothing wrong with that, let them work in peace.

As said there is a thread to post about this, it is already said the beta will be launched when the game reaches Beta state, for now it is Alpha as there is stuff still being implemented on the game.

So we must be patient. :alien:

You know this for a fact? Just a few days ago they said that they hadn't even finished the AI for the NPCs. That's not finished.
