I am sorry but the people that are claiming that SW is nearing the end of it's hype trains are out of their minds. There has never been a "hype train" for SW, if there was one it was when Chucklefish announced being the publishers and even then the game was no where close to what it is today and did not garner a huge crowd. I have since the day i joined this forum tried to keep the lid on SW from media outlets that i regular. It has for instance been mentioned a few times on the /r/Harvestmoon subbreddit, where i have every time advised people agains't following the game's development with a date in mind. People act like there is some huge gaming medias following this indie title when in reality, we are the ones building up the hype. This will probably be the last time i rant on a release date thread but for god's sake people, forget this game if you are not willing to wait for x years on it being released. You are not doing anything except for hurting the community and developer with false expectations. //Rant
Nobody is hurting the game by going along with an expectation set by ConcernedApe himself. Hoping for an announcement soon is not some arbitrary thing that people are wishing for, it's an expectation based on CA announcing earlier this year that he's still on schedule for a 2015 release. I don't care if he announces it a few months ahead of time, a few days, or even a few hours. I just care that it comes - again - an expectation set forth by CA himself. And yes, I realize that this isn't the first deadline that he's set, because he expected to release the game a year ago before he decided to redo quite a bit. I'm not upset, I don't feel entitled to the game, but I do think it's ridiculously silly to rant about expectations when CA himself has set them.
Of course i am not ranting about people speculating about dates that CA has set. I was directing the rant towards people calling the game stillborn because CA would have released it too late.

I'd say we're looking at a december release at the earliest. I know CA said 2015 but i would neither be surprised nor disappointed if it didn't come out this year.
Well I think I would be disappointed, a little bit. But even if it dont hit in 2015, I am pretty sure it will in early 2016. He said himself: Gamecontent is done, so "only" technical stuff is left and i simply not believe that CApe did not work on this stuff until now, so he isnt starting from scraps right now. There were already Multiplayer Demo Videos back in 2013. I expect a november/december release (but, oh well, I would still buy it if it takes until 2017...)

Once again he stated he was taking suggestions on changes. The perfectionist in CA is not fully satisfied yet, I fear.
Well as long the game is released this year (hopefully)... I just hope its things he will do after the release. Its nice that he listen to us and consider our feedback/suggestions. I appreciate it. ..As long it doesnt delay the game! Also: He sounds passionated to the game just like us and we have to keep him hooked for more content after the release... Muahahahaha... lol --- Thats something I really like with Dont starve together: They do twitch every thursday (most of time about dont starve but sometimes its about another game at klei). I really like that they tell us whats going on,whats coming (assuming they're allowed to tell us). They answer a ton of questions on twitch when they stream, including a lot of questions Ive had.. I appreciate that they're so much in touch with their fans. Now every thursdays if its about dont starve/Dont starve together: I watch it unless I cant. CA seems to be like that too so far and I love it!
I personally wouldn't care one way or another if CA did end up releasing at on December 31st at 11:59pm. So long as it's this year. I've been following this game since before Chucklefish picked it up, I'm a fairly patient person. ... I can't tell if you're being serious, when they released Skyrim for console it was a shitfest, so many bugs. It took them so long before they bothered to fix anything or even acknowledge some of the game breaking bugs. I wouldn't touch FO4 for console with a ten foot pole at launch.
Hmm. On my Xbox 360 it played pretty well. Yeah, here and there were some bugs, but you forgot to mention, that Bethesda and PlayStation-Ports always had their problems. So don't lump everything together I will play it at launch on my Xbox One, and i will enjoy it - i'm sure
Hello all, I've been following this forum for a while, but I never posted anything. I'm so excited for SV. So I've done some calculations on when CA will maybe give us an update (Yes, I know haha) and I think he's going to post something around 15 oct. He'll probably show us some screenshots maybe a horse. And maybe, maybe, maybe a release date. But I don't expect that.
After numerous turtle calculate calculations, it's clear that the release date is most definitely "soon". Praise be!
