Thorn finished pretty quickly from speed-eating, not wiping his face until seeing Timberwolf doing so, which the avali really needed to do anyways. "Heh. Okay. Hopefully I'll see ya around, Vic!" He smiles widely as he continues to sit in his seat, letting the food settle in his belly a bit longer before he'd even think about standing up.
Steel sits down "Lets get started on this paperwork huh, every year they add more paperwork and more bureaucrats"
"Darn." "Can we go do thing that doesnt involve walking through half of the city." "Go find a place to sleep or some stuff." "Fine." She takes a look at the map on the pamphlet.
Aden grabs his stuff and leaves the room. He passes the receptionist desk and leaves the hotel. "I hope the streets here are lit."
You're interrupted by the waitress, who's holding a bill in her hand, she raises her eyebrow at you sternly. "Ah yes I know, even getting a job in the system we have to deal with, it's almost too much paperwork. Everything's got to be iron clad." He replies, with a low chuckle at the end. "I really just need you to sign a few papers, it doesn't matter if you don't read them, just as long as you have the common sense," he leans back, "and I can see you're the type for some common sense." Most of the hotels and motels in the city appear to be on the side of the city you're close to. Rather they're mostly congregated together to the east side in one neighbourhood. You wake up to see Miraa walking around in the middle of the night. You hear a faint man's voice, he sounds like he's talking to someone, seems like they're in Deedee's bedroom. You were right to assume, the streets are lit up and are still(even in the middle of the night) busy. Buildings you saw in the day are now active with lights flashing in the windows and a whole different kind of people roaming the streets, carrying themselves more loosely.
"Oh, thank you." Timberwolf took the bill, glancing over the amount due while reaching for his wallet.
Thorn looks to the waitress as he was seated and gives her a smile before looking to Timberwolf. "How much is it?" He would ask, leaning a little towards him, but not too much; wouldn't want to give himself too much of a tummy-ache.
You find a pretty generic hotel, you've seen this brand on some other planets, the reviews for it weren't exactly exciting but it's what you managed to stumble across. "Me neither. Get some rest man, we got a big load of work tomorrow, cleaning up the rest of the path." Travis replies, heading to his bunk. The big number on the bottom of the bill clearly states that the meal you two shared was just short of 100 pixels, it would be a ripoff if the food wasn't actually good. As you open the door you see Deedee speaking over the phone, odd that you didn't recognize his voice. You still can't make out what he's trying to say, due to him trying to be quiet, but after some time his voice chokes up a little and he hangs up. He slowly turns his head to the door. In the commercial area there seem to be a bunch of restaurants and shops, any you could name from brand names in other systems. Most shops and restaurants are closing now however, either that or they have already closed. Most businesses that are open at this time are mostly just part of the nightlife. The papers mainly just spill some jargon about basic safety and procedure, nothing you couldn't figure out yourself. Mr Alabaster smiles as he takes back the papers and slides them into a folder with your very name on it. "So how have you been managing in Prosper? Do you need a place to stay?" He inquires.
-byron he heads to his bunk as well, reaching over his head and pressing the button to disable his exo pak, the needles that keep a check on his vitals coming out of his skin with a pinch, as the suit unbuckles and stands stationary. he takes his helmet off and sets it on top, and crawls into his bed, still dressed
Your body aches, and it's nice to call it a night after interstellar travel and fighting some sapient murdermonster. The surprisingly (only)half full bunker soothes you to sleep in quiet. Big day tomorrow.
