Hey, just thought I'd create a thread with a poll in order for a more collective response.
Please note, for further information on the post, you'll have to regard Molly's most recent blog post.

The DRM version doesn't overly affect me since I use steam for 90% of my gaming roughly. But I fully understand people wanting a DRM free version.

Option 3, I mean we actually want a completed game at some point and steam is the better updating choice here.

OP included a link. It's just hard to see because of the white text.

OP should quote it into his OP, rather.

    OPtion 3 all the way.

I'll probably be using Steam, so I don't really plan on having much to do with the DRM-free version. I'd say option 1 is out of the question, since it's least favorable for everyone. Option 2 would be a little more logical, but could get messy if the updates for the two versions don't match. I think option 3 might be best in the long run, even if it means having to wait a little longer for the DRM-free version.

I use steam for pretty much 99% of my PC games. WOULD be 100, but noooo. Origin has to exist, what with its Battlefield 4...I hate you EA, but i can't stop playing your game.

  8. Option 3's easily the best option, imo. Regardless, I do plan on using Steam when it's released.

  9. Steam seems faster for both players and DEVs, so it's everything automated, the community already decided such
Even that i hate Steam, it as some annoyances some consider DRM that don't let us simply make it simple.

  10. In a perfect world option 2 would be the thing to vote for and I voted for that BUT I think #3 is what's going to happen, we shouldn't leave anti-Steam people without any means of getting the beta at the same time as the rest of us in my opinion, if that makes sense.

Option #3. I'm steam 95% of the time. If my internet doesn't keel over or I'm not playing BF3 or soon to be BF4. Lol

The second option as stated keeps with their views on drm, while allowing beta to go unhindered. Still I accept 3 will be the most likely means used. Unfortunate, since ideals are important to try and stick to, but the practicality is hard to argue. It's the easy way out.. so they probably will take it.

I hope regardless they find some means to let those who, for whatever reason can't use steam, be able to participate.

if option 3 gets us more updates then option 3

also option 3 because I use steam for everything anyway

Option 1 would be awesome, But I know realistically, that option 3 makes it easier on everyone.

I use mostly Steam, sometimes Desura and if the games really wants me to than Origin or UPlay it is... I am indeed a PC gamer and I live with DRM, that's the reality.
Option 3 is the most practical one for everyone, it's a nobrainer.

IMO, DRM free should be released at the ending of beta. Steam isn't satanic.

Yeah. I really never understood steam hate. I guess it makes sense if you can't get online at all but then why are you even bothering with PC games?
I voted for the third option.

Yeah, but I'm assuming she(he?) meant that all game files would need to be downloaded through the internet.
