Just like Marmite. You either love it or hate, so Steam ahead with option 3. Steam Steam Steam Steam Steam Steam Steam Steam SteamAnd Spam. Lovely Steam
Steam option would be best for everyone it seems (even the people who don't want to use Steam). Let's be real.. Beta testers need to be able to overcome adversity... If steam for whatever reason is too big of a wall to get over, they're probably not going to be a very good tester : /
I'd love it on steam followed by a DRM copy later on. Most of my friends are on steam we tend to play better together with games that have strong steam integration.
It stands for Digital Rights Management, it essentially a method of checking if the software you are running is legitimate or not. By requiring an online check. For most DRM software requiring this check in order to run. If you cannot access the internet for any reason then you cannot run this check, you therefore cannot run the software. Even if you had purchased a legal copy from the developer/publisher hosting it. This is the primary reason and/or complaint from people. Why should they have to perform this check if its a legal copy. It's apparently to help stop software piracy, but I have previously mentioned that at some point, someone will find away around with a hax or cracked .exe etc. And those who own legal copies have an extra hurdle to jump over just to use the software they have purchased.

DRM is useless penny-pincher Garbage, Valve never uses it, and yet they are one of the most influential and wealthy gaming companies. Reason? Oh, they only actually make good games. Shit gaems like COD have it because the Companies behind the games are deluded, and think DRM does something to stop piracy, when in reality it only makes the more determined and in some cases (such as with Windows Live Arcade) scares customers into piracy by being so retarded piracy is an easier option. Here, I made a video on all this a while back. Sorry about the shit mic. This was made back in 2012 when I didn't know about background sound removal in wavepad.
What sin of stolen knowledge when it is just as useful to one whose mind is of sponge. At least he didn't give you a TV Tropes article, that is a trap upon entering you wont leave until at least 8 hours later. Though TV Tropes is a timesink, at least you learn a bunch of stuff.
