Choice two sound like the best option to me so yeah that's my vote. and choice three would be my alternative choice.
I'm fine either way, but option 3 seems like the right way to go Or if you only update daily instead of several times a day, then the people that use the DRM-free version only need to update once every day. Plus it will give you guys more time to squash bugs before releasing an update, which might help
Option 3 seems like the most time-efficient option. I know that DRM-Free players won't be able to play it straight away, but for the game it would get the finished product done sooner, so everyone would have "version 1" Sooner.
No need for all of that "your grace" stuff, I wasn't trying to be rude, I'm just trying to keep everyone informed on what the choices represent. And with that, #3 will not cause the DRM-free version to ever be outdated, as with #3 they'll only launch the DRM-free beta once they feel they can keep both updated at the same pace without compromising on time. With #3, when the beta does come out DRM-free, it will be the current Steam-version update, and will continue to be updated at the same time. #2 will cause the DRM-free version to be updated with less regularity, but once they feel they can quicken the pace without compromising on time, it will eventually catch up and continue to be updated just as frequently as the Steam version. All 3 options allow for the DRM-free version to eventually release tit-for-tat at the same time as the Steam version. #1 is for right away, #2 is for a focus on the Steam version before this happens, and #3 is for a delay in which they focus on the Steam version only, before releasing the DRM-free version fully up to date, to be updated at the same time as the Steam version.
Option 3!!!! No need to pause game with DRM updates... And maybe you could create a poll, so you will see numbers. And we will see them, regarding options how to destribute beta. =))
Option 3! Do an initial download available on HumbleBundle DRM-Free and then proceed with the Steam updates but have them able to run while steam is either offline or not running through the .exe
Option 3. I would like to have my every game in Steam, It's also very easy and simple to register. Why would'n everyone like Steam? No offense, just my opinion.
HumbleBundle is changing its terms of service in the future if a game has a Steam key it will be directly linked to steam. you will no longer get a coed to link to a steam account.
