Color coded for ease of explanation.
I never attacked you, and have said that I am not trying to attack you, I have responded a grand total of twice here, as well as some responses to your posts on thread that I watch; I've never sought your posts out to spam.
It would be easier to argue about something else if you didn't bring up the same few arguments everywhere.
The animation was completely necessary as it demonstrated my frustration with having to explain again after what I thought was a clear explanation. I thought about posting some much worse ones but that would have fallen under the "attacking you" category.
We aren't trying to make you out as the bad guy; if you just said "ok" "I'm sorry" or "My bad", then we can easily and this conversation at any time. But from what I've read of this particular wall of text, you're the one who is trying to make us (specifically me) out as the bad guys, and also trying to prove us wrong in some sense of the word. I'm also not sure how "anyone who argues at me again should have their posts deleted" is a viable solution to this problem.
We're not bullying you, we honestly want you to start using those periods Alvin lent you, they're starting to collect dust.
I obviously do not contribute anything to this community so I guess I can't say anything about this part, except that maybe this was a perfect time to plug your suggestion thread. I will go check this out soon and give an unbiased opinion.

This is not a sword, this is a shield (maybe a spiked shield, although it's done nothing to prevent grabs). Please, please just stop responding to this thread unless you have anything on-topic to discuss, as I fear we have now entered the forbidden realms of Off-topic discussion. So, just to reiterate:
-Release is not soon at all
-Beta, if there is one, is not soon at all
-Information shared by the developers does not hint at a change in the given timeframe unless specifically stated
-If there is any change in the release-time spitballing we will likely hear about it in an official tweet

If you would like to carry on this topic further, please send me a conversation invitation and we can take it outside of public areas.

Ooh ooh, I want anyone that argues against me to have their posts deleted! I think we should just have all the posts on the forum deleted, problem solved!

I'm personally hoping for an Augustish release so that I have a bit of time to play it before uni starts again.

Well, if there IS a closed beta I sincerely hope that they will allow the testers to record their endeavors :) Even maybe letting a few TRUSTED testers doing that would satisfy my need for Starbound ;p The gameplay/demo videos from Tiy have been great so far, but they only fill the void for so long :p
I honestly would rather that the big-name brand youtubers like the Yogscast and Pbat DON'T get to record the beta, for many reasons. I think that both the Yogscast and Pbat are fine lpers, don't get me wrong. It's just that the videos they post would probably bring a LOT of unwanted attention from some of the... less mature viewers xD. Betawants and such, you know the drill ;p
Also, it would not exactly be very fair, as they are not involved with the community...

Cannot read eyes bleeding someone send for help
I don't want to beat the dead horse here, but as Alvin and Star said you should probably start using punctuation/spellcheck/somethingpleaseohgod
Also, you should probably watch the double posts. You can always edit a previous post to add the information you find necessary in the bottom left of your post :)

Oh man now the question is. Will I use a lot of my time on the forum trying to be noticed for a eventual closed beta or do I cross my fingers and just follow the updates. Anyhu good topic.

Get on topic guys. So with the new team member think it might come faster as in taking off a week from the late summer and bringing it to the not so late but still late summer area? (This is technically on topic because release date. Will delete if thought to be off topic.)

Though I'd Love the Idea of a open beta (Because I love watching a game in development) I think they are smart to do closed.
on a side note, I don't think steam is a good idea, Their client wont let you play your games without internet.(you have to be online to activate offline mode) So you would only be targeting an audience that has a (almost) constant connection. and out of all the games I have seen. Steam games are usually cracked the fastest. I haven't downloaded a cracked game since minecraft survival test (Which I bought 3 accounts before It reached 1.3 Beta), but I have watched development on them and the average steam game gets maybe 1 day before it gets cracked. I haven't really researched other clients though.

No I can play Steam games offline. Just turn on the client before the internet your using is gone and you can play. I do that all the time when I leave home. Also as long as there are hackers people crack games. Even when its on a different game provider.

I Know you can turn offline mode on, But I cant tell you how many times I had brought my laptop somewhere without internet and couldn't play terraria because of it. It isn't impossible to play offline, but the way steam works it is too inconvenient.
Your right about the cracked games thing. they all get cracked eventually, I have just noticed that steam is usually faster.

Cracking really isn't an issue though, the game will get cracked regardless. I'm just hoping that there's still enough decent people in this world that will actually spend their money to get this game instead.

And realistically anyone that is going to be able to download and play the game is going to have an internet connection good enough to use steam. However they have also said that they might look at distributing it through other services too so you may be able to buy it through somewhere else instead if you'd prefer. We'll just have to see. Steam has a lot of advantages though like cloud saves, a good achievements system and friends integration so I'd probably buy it on there unless other services gave as good an experience. There's reasons steam is so successful. And offline mode works fine as long as you plan in advance and switch it on while you have internet.

If they don't have Internet how will they download it and if you do download illegally you will have to update everytime there's new content.

If you can download it illegally there's no reason that you couldn't download it legally..... And I'm sorry to say that a lot of things are being digitally distributed these days because it's so much cheaper, especially for indie devs, not having to get packaging made and sent around the world and things. I expect the game files won't be tooo big a download anyway, and people that don't have access to internet at all just won't be able to buy the game. The same could be said for loads of other games, like minecraft for example. The likelihood is that if they don't have internet though they won't have even heard of the game anyway so it doesn't particularly matter.
