Regarding Release & Beta, What You Should Know.

Are the game developers wrapping up the realease date yet? I can't concentrate on anything but starbound right now, it will really settle me down.

Waiting since September... 2011 I think i've passed inanity too.

 

Just do what I do, when I get agitated waiting on a release date, I just go to Popeyes. It completely takes my mind off of everything cause the chicken is that good.

Make sure you got a good dessert to go with it too, helps even more.

 

I atleast got something to keep my mind sane (Well not really i doubt this game will keep me sane) Then again i got to wait just 2 days for it...But i did wait for Starbound for the longest time so...Hmm Go insane and play Saints row 4 or be sane then go insane while playing Saints row 4...What to do what to do...*Noms on her cookieS*

 

Simple discipline I would say Stock market helps a lot. As long as excitment, inpatiency and impulsive desicions drive your actions, you will pay. It's that simple and it works pretty much everywhere.

 

So ready for this game. That video of the game has me ridiculously excited.

 

After i49 it should be pretty dang close to beta because they actually showed the game publicly which shows some confidence in the game that the developers have developed () Plus i have watched the 149 it looks playable so it will probably be released soon because I'm sure I'm not the ONLY one who thinks that and if they get reviews stating that they may develop (again?!?!?!) enough confidence to release beta

 

im drooling watching the 'getting started' theme of the i49 gameplay footage, im also chomping at the bit waiting for SOME kind of early build release to the public who bought the game, even if the beta doesn't have all the game features implemented yet.

 

haha yea, ive been playing SR4 for a few days now, eagerly checking the front page to see updates, then back to SR4 to take out my boredom anxiety with a giant tentacle bat on the unsuspecting populace.

 

See they want The beta And the game to be released within 2013, well we only have some months left. unless they plan on releasing the beta then like 1 month after the full game -.- so much for early access. I watch the yogcast play and the game seems playable (at least for a beta) so I hope they just wanted to showcase it first then they will release it =D. I has been 2 days since a daily update was posted so we can hope.

BTW devs After watching yogcast play it, I want it even more it looks great. Oh one thing though, maybe an option to turn off guns breaking blocks/trees

 

April? Please, I've been waiting since before February of last year for Beta.

 

they need to make a private website that says release beta then circle round it and hold hands and start singing kumbiya

 

It will come eventually, its difficult to wait though. I remember when i was waiting for fable 2 and spore to come out xD
At least i have time to play other games while im waiting Starbound to come.

 

The wait is long but we will be strong.

 

Yea, the future of terraria will haunt us until the beta is released.

 

The one thing I want to know about beta that I haven't seen explicitly stated is whether save files will stay valid between beta and release. I plan to run a friends & family server, but not till I'm sure we won't have to throw away progress for updates.

 

You should probably just count on and plan for progress wiping, haha. It's really hard to get that stuff perfect the first time.

 

There is no word yet if that will be an issue. From what I can remember the devs would like to avoid that.
