Or, since Win10 will be free for a whole year, you may just as well wait for game to get patched around and, who knows, maybe it will start working yet again. Or the problems with your update installation will get resolved somehow.

    Edit:
Did you just quoted and commented yourself?

  9. Protip: Windows Update being broken is usually a sign that you have a pirated copy of windows :D

Dont blame the game when its your OS's fault. The game works perfectly fine. You just need the 2015 Redist. And dont even bother saying that you shouldnt have to install things like that. You do it all the time without you even knowing. Direct X Updates, XNA Frameworks for games like Terraria, C++ redistsros (Like this one).

This is totally off topic, and I am very sorry for that, but now I'm dying to know. What is the exchange rate to USD, because that seems like waaay to much money for an average PC?

You really, really, need to find that CD and reinstall windows. Maybe you can get a hold of the maker and see what can be done if you can't find it. All computers have a code that identifies them (like a VIN) They may be able to get your computer back up. OR, could you reset to factory default? This may fix the OS problem..

I have reset on my son's laptop and I don't have a CD. This is windows 8, but the basics are the same. Honestly, I had to look for it, but possibly in the control panel. Just do a search or go to the help screen to find it. This is important: Back up anything you want to keep on a flash you will lose everything. When it resets, it is like you just brought it home.

Edit: The only reason you may need the CD is if it's missing something and needs to install it. My first choice is to find the CD

YES, you need your Windows 7 DVD. With a few clicks you will start to repair your installation!

Just make sure you choose an 'upgrade' installation if you want to keep your current settings, installed programs etc.

With the DVD in the drive, simply run 'setup.exe' and follow the prompts.

You need a CD for windows 7? Wow, that sucks. You don't for windows 8

That's true, but it's easy to convert the DVD into an .iso file and you can then use the Microsoft USB DVD tool to put the installation files onto a USB stick.
