Closed Refund starbound

My games doesn't work anymore until the new update "api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll is missing", i try to fix it but i don't repair it.

So i would refund my game
It is possible ?

 

Why refund when you can ask how to fix
Why refund when you're warned that this game is deep beta
Why refund when you can play it later
Why refund

 

I lose 2 days to find a way to fix it.
It's about my windows update.. i've talk to my computer scientist it will cost 500€ to repair it

 

If anyone tells you that installing an update on your computer will cost you 500 euro, then laugh in their face and show them the door.

Is it by any chance the update mentioned here (right above the link)? If so, just download and install it manually.

 

You've already had the game for quite a while, so I don't think you would even qualify for a refund buy any standards.

If it's an issue caused by your computer being corrupted, why blame Starbound and ask for a refund on it?

It worked before, yes, but now the game's requirements have changed, and your computer needs to have the required things in order to run the game. This is to be expected for a game in development.

 

It worked before, but that was when the game was in a much less complete state. Now that it has updated, your hardware issues are showing and those need to be fixed. You don't have to spend 500 euros, but you can fix your computer...

Sure. Its posted there so it MUST be true!

The change was recent. And the steam page only lists hardware requirements. The game is still in development and the requirements, regardless of what they are now or what any page says they are, can change at any time. Get over it.

At that point, they could get a refund thanks to Steam's refund policy. You, on the other hand, have had the game for much much longer. The idea of a refund is laughable.

The game works, if you take the time to resolve the problems. If it doesn't work, then you didn't try everything. This is a beta after all. Problems happen, and sometimes, yes, we are expected to do some leg work to make things work on our ends. What did you think you were buying initially?

 

If it's your OS that's the problem, I might suggest, and I really hate to suggest this, but, you might want to consider updating to windows 10 while it's still free. I don't know what the hardware specs are on it, but it may be an option.

 

That would be like a last ditch effort.
