Reddit Themed Suggestions

So, brilliant idea in today's (last night's) update. This can either be what Suggestions needs to give the good stuff great exposure. Giving the game's Devs or mod Devs a chance to cherry pick from the crème de la crème. Also, Reddit has become more about presentation than content lately, so adversely, Suggestions could become too much like Reddit. Not so good. I'm curious to see how it'll all turn out. One thing I can say, after having some doubt, Chucklefish is hell bent on giving the community some major involvement in designing this game. Good or bad?

Edit: As long as the devs were able to serve up random suggestions to us forum users and lurkers. That would insure that every one would get seen. Instead of just the "Front Page".

That's another issue with Reddit, the more votes you do get, the more votes you will get. Because you're always front page people just keep up voting you. And there are posts that never get seen at all. A banner with a random suggestion thread link, that rotates every hour should fix that problem.

 

Pffff any suggestions thread will just turn into a huge war between MLP fans voting up ponies in the game and anti-MLP voting down the idea of ponies in the game.

Will get old real fast.

I think when he said Reddit style he meant a similar voting structure, not the rabid trolling, forementioned Pony wars or the overuse of memes.

(But I do see what you mean, I for one avoid those kind of sites)

-In reality, idc if they add mlp stuff or not. I honestly don't think anyone should care. If a pony referance makes your head explode, you're probably not mature enough for video games anyway. -

Backontopic: They should have an in detail cooking system. Based on time, ingrediants/their freshness, and tools/methods used to cook the dish.

 

There's already a ton of food items. I'm sure a culinary cued cooking contraption coded by the creative community won't be too far off.

 

If magic ponies fit a sci-fi game then I want fairy type weapons.

I have never really gotten into reddit, and now I never will. To be at all honest with you, MLP is really beginning to bore me, and the fandom is starting to freak me out.

Too much pony stuff may attract unfavorable attention tough. Namely Hasbros legal departement. History teaches that including copyrighted material because "the fans really REALLY want it" is a pretty fu*king stupid idea.

I like (or liked, at least) the TV show, but the idea of having ponies in the game? Downright awful. It's not happening, ever. That's up to the modders.

 

And after implementation, it's exactly as I feared. There are a bunch of dupe threads like this one now. But they all day the same thing. The new suggestions section is flawed.
