Closed Recipes Not Unlocking

So I tried to craft a Cake (if you've played the nightlies past the moon mission, you may know why) and I couldn't find it on the table. I tried collecting all of the required ingredients (which seems to work for some recipes, like Pearlpea Risotto) but it still didn't show up. Then I noticed that still more recipes were missing that should have been there, like ones involving Coffee and Carrots. I think there's something wrong with the recipe unlocking system.

 

Yeah, I can't find a recipe for a cake that quest asked :/

 

The recipe is in the game but there's currently no way to learn it normally. Enable admin mode and you should be able to craft it at the appropriate station.

 

I know admin can be used, but it would be nice if all the recipes/items needed for story progression were made available, so that those who want to test out the progression like a normal player may do so. If the recipes for Cake and Fuel Rods were implemented, with Processors and Solarium somehow made available, you could progress completely without admin commands.

But I digress. I know the dev team is very busy and needs to prioritize. Since there is a way to test the progression, I suppose that's all that's really needed. I just think it'd be cool to be able to do so without cheating.

 

Things are constantly changing in the Nightly builds, if the recipes disappeared recently then that means someone is working on them. They should be fixed at some point.
