    Recipes:
    I added the recipes in the recipes folder but apparently to add them in game, I seen somewhere that you need to add it to the player.config. Is this correct or is there a way to add a recipe without modifying player.config?

    Blueprints:
    If a Rainbow bed is "rainbowbed", what would it's blueprint item called. For putting it in chests or merchants. How would I go about adding a blueprint?

    You need to "learn" the recipe somehow. Most people solve this by adding it to the Tier 1 starting recipes in player.config

    Avoid editing playerconfig until better mod tools come out or a mod loader becomes standard!

    The way most people do it is add
    Code:
        "learnBlueprintsOnPickup" : [
        "mod_item"
      ]
    to an item that is the result of smelting in the furnace. (If you had a recipe to starter/stonefurnace, it is automatically known due to it's nature.)
    So, for rainbow bed, add the above attribute to rainbow wood.
    Though some people argue changing any core files at all is bad news bears.

    Oh I used the rainbowbed as an example.

    So what you're saying is the stone furnace is the only thing that can accept new "recipes"
    I did what you said but made it so when you make a new character(or delete quest data) it gives you a 2nd quest, where you obtain the item with "learnBlueprintsOnPickup".

    That's another way to do it! Good thinking.
