Rebindable Keys

Just look at all the different possible keyboard layouts... The possibility to rebind the controls is pretty much mandatory.

 

I trust the Devs to make the default key-bindings something I'm used to (or close), but it would be nice to have the option to change them. I'm sure rebindable keys are something they are planning on.

 

As a gamer with a few physical limitations, being able to rebind movement keys from WASD to the arrow keys is mandatory-- cannot play most games unless there's key rebinds allowed. Sadly, I just bought the $15 preorder / beta and realized, I won't be able to play it until rebinding is added-- if indeed it ever is. /sadface

 

Well, as a lefty (I hold the mouse in the left Hand, while using the Numpad instead of wasd) the Game will be pretty umplayable for me. Perhaps i can find an emulation software for that?

 

Hey, fellow lefty. Playing with a trackpad or mouse in my right hand and WASD in my left usually works for me.

 

Please implement key setting as fast as possible ...

Its kinda a big deal option for many people, makes the game more player friendly and not enoying and frustrating.

 

Solution:

1.Get AutoKey, start it.
2. Create new text document.
3. type this in:

a::left
left::a
s::down
down::s
d::right
right::d
space::up
up::space
i::numpad4
numpad4::i
e::numpad1
numpad1::e

4.save the document as "starbound.ahk"
5. doublick and enjoy.
