    Seeing the recent developer update (which I am continually grateful for), I did have a concern regarding the options menu. I searched the forums for a post like this and didn't find any. I also think that the developers are on top of it, but I'm going to play the safe card and ask anyway^_^;

The options menu shown in the screenshot did not contain a "controls" section for rebinding keys.

This will get put in right?

  2. This is something that would be very nice. Some people like to customize their keys to the gameplay that they are more used to and this is always a nice feature.
Sometimes I blind because I get mad trying to work with some X control I can't get used with.

Even if it isn't in-game at this momment, I support this to be added.

It's VERY important to people to customize your controls, so I'm sure they'll add it. (If they have not already done so. :))

I don't rebind much. But it really is a important feature for any modern pc game.

I would suck in FPS games if I couldn't rebind 'forward' to RMB.

  6. I generally don't rebind my keys, but I do think it's an important feature to have for most players. One thing i can't stand is when pushing down on the mouse makes you look up. That drives me crazy, so it's super important for me to change that feature in relevant games, and I'm sure people have their preferences and pet peeves when it comes to keys.

I don't rebind my keys either, I just get use to the awkward controls until it feels right. I do think it would be a good idea to add this into the options since there are people who wants their life to be easier.

This actually is pretty important, especially to mac users, as they cannot left and right click at the same time.
EDIT: Hey, I wonder how long this stays up until people begin bashing Macs.

I thought there were mice (3rd party?) for macs that had differentiating right and left click.

Yeah, bt not everyone has them. In fact, most decent macs can use PC mice without a problem.

Don't forget; they're still working on the options menu. They might be adding the ability to rebind keys later.

Definitely should have rebindable keys. No good reason not to; and this is a PC game, so keys should be rebindable by default.

Very important. We should be able to reassign keys to anything we want, I love it when games do that.

Honestly today I have come to expect rebindable keys from newer games, even smaller indie games have the option.

Today's games are getting less and less flexible in this area. A lot of console games only have presets, and I hate them all. It is important to me to have customization. I'm encountering computer games now that not only do not let you change your controls, but also have no presets either. Terraria let you rebind keys thankfully, but you had to leave the game.

If you find a computer game that has less than optimal controls, or even missing functionality, you can get better support with programs like autohotkey. I've made pretty nice things, like functional controller support for specific games, a history cache script, a hotkey to drop items from inventories instead of manually drag and dropping, universal hotkeys ala SC2 for Warcraft 3, and of course general remapping of keys. I'm not trying to brag here, just giving hope to those who really find these things to be important like me.

Personally a game would stand out if it didn't allow you to rebind keys, these days.

Yes, rebindable keys are VERY important. I never do like it when a game has the inventory key default to "I" for example

How the hell do I reach "I" all the way over there? So it means I either take my fingers off WASD to press it, or take my hand off my mouse to press it, both choices are pretty damn inconvenient.

I'm not to worried. If it's like Terraria they'll be able to give you that option fairly easy. Also, since most of the game is played using your mouse and most gamers have a gaming mouse it shouldn't be to hard to do a little rebinding yourself.

Personally I'd be shocked and dismayed if the option isn't there in the full release.
