Really Chucklefish? Really?

I just had my tests, but I have plenty of projects I have to work on which have to be finished before Christmas. It is a lot of work, but once I am done, I can play Starbound all day.
Tomorrow is not the most ideal date for me too. I have classes until four o' clock and probably need to do other things too, so I might not be able to play the game at release.
Oh well, at least it is waiting for me when I do have the time. It will not run away from me, right..? I hope

To one Mr. Hokage: the solution to your problem is obvious; I didn't even need to commit 0.0000001% of my central processing unit to find the answer. Simply put: you must not study! Devote all your time to playing Starbound because it is obviously the most significant thing in the universe and it being released during the week of your finals is the Great Robot Overlord's way of stating Starbound's importance is much greater than potentially securing your future! What the developers have failed to state is that Starbound will be released ONLY during the exact period of your finals - they went through the NSA to gleam all relevant information on your life and planned Starbound's release for the one time when it will be most difficult for you to play. They also plan to remove Starbound from Steam and completely shut down this website and remove all information on this game from the entire internet once your finals have ended. I repeat: Starbound WILL NOT be available when your finals end!*

i am mad cuz it's releasing 19:00 CET and I THOUGT IT WAS UP TO STEAM, BUT HEY JUST WAIT TILL THE EADLINE TO FUCK US OVER AGAIN CHUCKLEFISH, even if its just for some hours it brings back traumatic memories of last time when u puhsed it baack very far, i've been wiating 2 god damn years and i was ready to give up, everyone was i am not even sure half the fanbase is still here but you know what nobody cares its all just whining right.. ahhaha you people really gotta STOP with your god damn stockhol syndrome, this is business and they areso lucky they didnt screw itup they left everyone demoralized i was eve ready to pirate it and never buy, but i guess een waiting alot longer i reconsidered but i doubt everyon will, and i kinda feel we didnt get much info and you give release early to some random ass youtubers who noone knows but you push it back for all us? no...

I think the OP may have been joking and people took it seriously. I hope so, anyway.

One of the things that I despise about the forums is that folks expect others to know when someone is joking. There's no facial expressions or voice inflection to go off of. At the very least a smiley should be used, which I've gotten into the habit of doing to help avoid misunderstandings.

Maybe it's just my grumpy old man coming out...

 

Why would I be mad, I'm homeschooled and don't have finales. I'm currently sick and I get major headaches (I could cry from pain) whenever I look at anything bright (computer screen) but I'll still be playing Starbound. Anyways, there would always be an inconvenience for someone else... if they tried to make it convenient for everyone then the game would never be released.

 

I wish there was a "Give a cook and a pat on the back" button for you. Getting headaches from doing something you enjoy is no good.

 

Why the date of the beta doesn't matter in the slightest: Player Wipes.

This is not the end game. This is a beta. When you get your hands on it really doesn't matter because any and all progress you make will disappear at some time before the release. Study for your finals and get good grades secure in the knowledge that the week or two 'advantage' others have will disappear when beta patch [REDACTED] is released, wiping all data (Due to a horrible bug that actually made our avatars gain weight from eating all the delicious space cake thus leading to the point that avatar mass proved too great for the space drives to overcome, essentially locking all players to the first world to contain a Molly's Intergalactic Bakery).

 

Everything happens at different time for other people, some people are out of school when Starbound is released, some end right after, some end day one of release... cant blame them for that, and it would be out by now, there waiting for Steams Sales to be done, so they dont get ripped off when they JUST release their game.
