Random weapons and gears

    Hi all,

    since this game is all about randomization, I think random weapons and armors would fit the game theme. Think of it like Diablo or Borderlands : found weapons and gears could have random proprieties. I always feld that this was missing in Terraria (which was awesome by the way). Looting and caracter customization would then be more a part of the gaming experience, even if it's not as elaborated as Diablo. However, the randomness of item could be determined by the item's "tiers" or level. Here's how I see it :

    Visual graphic (this also set the behavior of weapons... no assault rifle looking like a rocket launcher :/)
    Coulour palette (could be changed by the player to fit the overall armor palette?)
    Variable damage for weapon and random armor rating for armors (could depend on the item "tiers")
    Various attributes, fitting the said item (reduce reload time, higher firing rate, increased ammo clip, bouncing bullets, piercing bullets, elemental bullets, etc. for guns, for exemple). There could be much, much more for any item kind and multiple random attribute per item.

    Well... just an idea. What do you think? What attribute would you like to see? I would prefer attributes that affect gameplay, like double jump boots, knockback melee weapon or emitting light armors, than bonus attributes (+5% overall damage, exemple).

    I'm fairly certain this is already in the game, and I'm also pretty sure they already have a ridiculous (RIDICULOUS) amount of weapons o_O at least, rocket launchers :p

    There are also randomly generated weapon parts, which are combined to form a weapon with random stats.

    It's kinda hard to get anymore random than the system that's in place.
