Closed random invincibility?

something I've bumped into for the past few days, usually happens right after bandaging, but I'll suddenly be immune to fall damage and enemy attacks until I beam back up. doesn't seem to immunize me to lava though

 

I seem to be getting that as well

tell me when you get this immunity to damage does your energy recharge?

I've been experiencing a bug where i can't take damage anymore and my energy doesn't recharge and it doesn't go away unless i beam to my ship like you and quit to main menu and go back to character...

it seems to be happening at random with no real trigger....it can happen within a few seconds and a few minutes....i can't seem to explore a planet's surface without it happening i really can't stand to play nightly with this happening.....even though at the moment starbound isn't launching at the moment...something along the lines of Could not set keybindings from configuration.

I haven't been using many gun so I haven't noticed, been using mostly 1 handed weapons, I'll keep a eye out for that too though

 

after finding a shotgun I really liked I can confirm yeah, my energy wont recharge while im invincible

 

oh hey i was speaking to another user when he said you can use /warp to fix the issue giving you the same effect as if you teleported to your ship fixing it.
Then i seen the console command /setrespawnpoint or something.


if there is a way of getting a keybind for both of those commands it could be a rough quick fix?
/reload also works but it takes longer.


I was thinking if Z could be binded to setspawnpoint and X set to /warp both could be pressed fairly easily when the player notices the bug has taken effect and can clear it before any majoy ruin in flow happens....

 

I have this bug too. I kiiind of think it might be related to the new sword abilities, as the bug likes to activate a lot while using a sword/other weapon and clicking a lot, which activates the broad/shortsword's ability, but this seems to bug out my energy bar when it tries to activate with other weapons.

 

yeah theres a strong chance its being caused by the new sword abilities but i've had it happen on characters that don't even have swords just a pistol i found on the starter planet...

it seems random but seems to happen the most in combat with a chance of it happening when your exploring the planet.... like i'd take a big fall and take no damage...pull out my pistol and fire off a bullet to see the energy bar decrease with no blue to green plus it just stays green.

but when you warp back to your ship it seems to fix itself so im working if this is going to be a limited power thing in the future...like your gadgets require power and will eventually run out or something else like.........you need sleep.....

....Glitches can just munch on currentcorn....humans can drink coffee.......Florans can stand in sunlight.
that wouldn't bother me much.




just the way this keeps happening keeps ruining the flow of gameplay....I'd get into a fight it'd get tense because i don't have the armor this planets ore offers I'd start losing then the glitch occurs and suddenly i don't take damage......i honestly wouldn't even mind dying at that point but this thing keeps changing the outcomes...
