Rainy planets and water

    Has anyone been able to harness the rain and make any interesting lake/pools/oceans on their home worlds yet?

    I'm working on it right now, I'm wondering if it's doable or if it takes an incredible length of time

    Any liquid will evaporate if it has to cover an area and can not stay at a certain height the entire time. Also make sure that you have a background behind the water so it doesn't drain.

    If it works then I would love to see the final project!

    I did attempt something like this before the wipe on my home world. I found I had to make loads of small ditches dug into the ground, then once the rain had filled them I would brake the walls down and they would pour into one another. I got one long pond, But I couldn't make it very deep.
