to all people who's ever experienced corrupt save files/ gigantic meteor strikes, it happened to me too after a quick power outage this was the latest screenshot taken before i completed my house. i never thought i could lose my char and my house,, oh wells i guess this is an opportunity to make a new char and start fresh make backup saves -lesson learned
Look at the bright side of it. The power outage didnt ruin your HD, they can do that too. Was a nice place still.
I understand how you feel. I played Minecraft when it was in Alpha, and I had to start over several times during it's development. But the more you build, the better you get at it. So even though your house and character is gone, you'll always have the experience.
