It would be amazing and helpful quality of life feature: When in the dialog menu for an opened chest, if above the color selector, if there can be a quick stack button, which would pull all the items from your inventory into the chest; Only items currently in the chest will be pulled from your inventory. This suggestion would make sorting and inventory system greatly more convenient, as the user would spend less time organizing chests, and more time getting to work on the farm!
I suppose it could be helpful. It'd make dumping items from a mining run much quicker as long as you have a stack already in the chest. It would be less useful for items that get quality stars since those stack separately and you don't always have at least one of each quality in the chest already. Still, probably easier than the current process of skimming through 36 inventory slots and clicking each item you want to dump. It'd save a few seconds on each drop-off.
Yes, this would be very convenient but not high priority. I always tend to have to double-back or triple-back when storing things because I missed something that belongs in a chest I just went through.
The StashItemsToChest mod does this exactly, except instead of a button you press TAB on the keyboard. The ChestsAnywhere mod lets you label your chests with a name and groups them by location (Farm, FarmHouse, Beach, etc.). It also lets you access the chests from anywhere, but for greater realism you can still stick to normally opening them. Both of these mods do not affect save files, so it's safe to to start using them on an existing game (still, back up your save files just in case).
