So hi. I got to tier 3, or Gamma last night and I'm trying to upgrade my armor! But you see, the thing is, I can't mine platinum! As it stands I'm an avian with my sparrow armor (Tier 2) which adds up to level 15, but everything in gamma horsebutt (yes i found a solar system called gamma horsebutt) is one hitting me. This gives me a bit of an issue, because I have the highest defense level I can get right now so i'm trying to mine platinum, but I can't find it and even with my high level of defense I'm still being one hit. Does anyone know something that might help? Also, first post, *inhale* yaaay!

Wait a few days because progression is getting a revamp in the next patch. In the mean time I guess just try looking for some low level dungeons and finding a weapon with a lighting bolt. It has a extended range that allows you to kite most enemies.

Yeah the exact details are something like the best armour in the previous sector (Beta) will be just fine in the early stages of the next sector, Gamma. So it'll fix the issues of being oneshotted from moving to another system. What worked for me though is just mining down and avoiding monsters I know can oneshot me. Right now even with Impervium armour, I get one/twoshot on level 40 planets, so I just use the planets to dig straight down and get resources, avoiding any conflict.

By the way, what do you mean you can't mine platinum? If you dig you can find it without running into monsters, and if you don't have a pick the matter manipulator should be able to mine it, albeit EXTREMELY slowly.

Ah well that is just solved in time  My friend and I for the longest time didn't find any Ceruleum, but the moment I posted on the forums asking for advice, we came across some.
