I had Starbound for a good two months and i haven't seen any of the new things that I've seen like little critters and new biomes i wonder what is the problem do i have to update starbound if so how do i. I NEED HELP I'M MISSING OUT.
You have to switch to nightly build in steam. In your steam library you will see 2 Starbounds Starbound and Starbound Unstable In starbound unstable follow the steps in the link below http://playstarbound.com/nightly-builds-are-live/
Here is a slightly more up to date help link: http://playstarbound.com/support/#unstable (you can see the 2nd game on the left there) Remember though, the Nightly build is not for normal gameplay. You will be trapped in several places unless you use admin commands to bypass them. For example, the current starter planet is Arid, which does not have the correct resources you need to progress. After you pass that you will be stuck at the Floran mission, needing another admin command to get through that. You can play on the Unstable build to get updates a week or two faster, however it is currently the same as Stable. The next update should be on Unstable in 3 to 6 weeks.
