Questions about the start of the game

How long you will be stranded at the planet you start on? It will be like Spore, a big chunk of the game in the first planet so you can explore it a lot, and then you leave after you're done?
The first planet you start on will have something different than the other ones? Maybe the first planet have multiple biomes like Earth, and the other ones don't? What will differentiate your homeplanet and the other planets you visit?

 

I believe you start from a abandon space station and then you can pick any planet you want however I could be wrong so don't quote me.

You will start in your Race Home Planet, that for some mad reason, you must abandon it, it's some short of Tutorial, you fix your Ship, and then you have full access to the game!

 

Space stations have been scrapped entirely, I believe.
It's now about you finding a spaceship and fixing it, and stuff.

 

Yes Indeed. They replaced the Space Station with the Spaceships, one for each player.

I was reading the AMA when I come up with these questions!
So the tutorial is short? And we are forced to abandon our homeplanet? Don't tell me the Vogons found it!
Will there be some planets with multiple biomes like Earth? I would love to build my base of operations on a planet with multiple biomes to explore...
So, about the spaceships. How customizable it is? Can you share spaceships with your friends if you're playing co-op?

 

It's not that of an Tutorial. It's an Intro to the Story Mode, as a lot of games do these days. At the same time you begin your story, you learn the basics, when you fix your ship by then you will be ready for Starbound.

Multiple Biomes, no, still one basic biome and then secondary-biomes inside the main one.

Spaceships can be decorated, expanded (geting bigger), you can change it's aspect enough for make it unique. Yes you can invite your friends to your SpaceShip.
