Ok so basically i'm not good at drawing things and didn't got much time to draw my monsters (i'm sorry for that ). Moreover if something isn't write in good form just tell me (i'm not also good in English ) but i'll try to introduce my monster very well to you all. It's some kind of blobby thing in early part of evolution progress. About behavior and their look: It's quite small (green pieces near character picture). They live in groups but could be found as often in amount of only few as in huge colony. They are totally blind and the only way they sense world is by touch and by motion of the air (sound waves too). They are quite sticky and dangerous. When they feel footsteps near or other quite loud sounds they just try to hide under sand, but if they've got feeling of being in danger (they hear loud sounds) they behave totally different. They gather together and produce a lot of gel that is very strong glue and also is quite explosionproof. By producing gel they try to make something like tower (process is showed on the picture), then some of them dig underground to find stone or other hard object and put it on the front of turret (in the direction they felt strong air movement) then they use their other ability. Producing highly explosive gas. Then one of them sacrificing his life to make a spark and fire hard object. If needed (they can't find any stone or something hard) one of them is sacrificing itself to heat up sand and make glass ball what is then used as ammo for covering rest of the colony. Glass isn't projectile like stone. It's destroying at the firing moment so it's quite like shotgun pellet. When they aren't in bigger group or most of them die the rest hides quickly. The small ones are only workers. There is also a Queen! the violet one which appears only at the night time. She is much more transparent with glowing orb-like brain inside, is much more intelligent, very slow, she doesn't have one and the same shape - she is changing that (like a soap bubble on the wind) and she has one but very good ability. She can telepaticaly go inside your mind! By sending glowing dust in your position (also by hearing but she is much more sensitive to every sound) she can catch you and transfer to small room (which is your mind and shows the size of it on the pic). There is a heart inside and much green sparkles (from the top) that tries to destroy your heart. You can build defenses but any solid blocks will only slow they movement but can't stop it. If they destroy heart u will be dead, but if you can survive 1-3 minutes then Queen will be so confused that you can easly get inside her (like into ball of liquid in space) and catch her orb. Reproduction etc: Curvix can reproduce by splitting but only in safe places (so if u split them in half they die). They eats small bacteries from sand, leaving behind solid sand blocks (like sandstone), by absorbing them into their body and then "melt" them. The Queen is eating her own childrens that are big enough and sometimes she just take control over harmless animals and took them inside her just to eat them slowly. Every time she eat one animal she produce two or more small Qrvix workers (she just drop small pieces of her body that in few seconds change color to green and start live at it's own). Workers are eating very slowly so they can't grow up fast. uses and collecting items: If you are carefull enough you can catch Curvix worker into jar. When they are surrounded by glass they start being harmfull and calm. So it's possible to make glass room and put there some of them (not more then 5 in one room cause they will start being agressive, moreover room has to be 5x5 or larger) and they can produce solid blocks from sand that is very hard and can hold out one or two explosions each. If they are putted in jar with water they start making a lot of sticky gel but they can die during this process. It's usefull if you wanna take with you something sticky that you can use to make some things that needs glue or needs to be very hard, explosiveproof. But if u put them into jar with metal they start produce gas. When jar broke they sacrifice themselfes to make a spark (so it's usefull for making cluster granades). Queen orbs can be used to tame one animal or make slave from humanoid. But Queens are very rare and there is 30% chance that orb will be broken after you collect it. What i was also thinking of: - Posibility to find they own planet. - Making other types of them like: * snowy (queen orb freezes one target making ice statue from them) * swampy (queen orb puts strong poison on target, usable around 15 times, or can be used to craft poison melee weapons) * underwater (queen orb can be used to mutate target that it could breathe underwater or used to put target in stasis for around 10 seconds - useful against bosses) Image: Irrespective of winning or losing contest i don't mind if my idea will be used in game Again sorry for my English. I hope you understand me and like my idea I think i didn't forget anytghing (if i recall something i will edit post) Now i see that colors of character are much different then should be but only this. Curvix and "mind room" is colored good. Sorry for that but i don't have time to repair that now (if needed just tell me and i will make it in good colors but i think that isn't important).
