My idea was a pump item/gun that allows you to suck up, and dispense liquids. This would serve many practical uses such as being able to empty small expanses of water, and the ability to easily create a pond or resivour by your house for aesthetic purposes. As oil will also be a feature of the game the pump gun could be used to transport oil to use back at your base. You would be able to suck up liquids by being in close proximity and clicking on what you want. Spraying just works like a gun. There is also the ability to use it as a weapon. Sucking up acid and spraying it out at enemies would cause damage over time. I made a few mock ups with my shamelessly pathetic artistic skills in photoshop to try and portray how it would look/work. Spraying acid at an enemy I wanted to draw something else so here is some water.
Nice pictures And yeah this could be a much better and futuristic way to transport liquids than in regular buckets that other games have *cough cough* I am Hostail and I approve of this idea! (even if it already have been suggested)
Since this would require better liquid physics, I'd say this is a neat idea. I've always loved it when games applied this sort of thing.
Yeah I came up with the idea after reading about the water physics in Blue's thread about the confirmed features. It would give players a better way to transport liquids which could be upgradable with more capacity and a greater flow rate.
Actually, i think this weekend there will be a video about water dynamics, so, soon we will be able to find out if water physics would work together to this idea.
Looks great! Maybe you could craft and join together pipes and somehow transform your pump item into an actual pump. Then you could find and siphon any resources you need back to your spaceship. However, if they're going to implement this, they simply must put in a Proton Pack as well (from Ghostbusters).
