Could be. Might still have to work it out with the people actually writing and setting this whole thing up.

I'd like to see some sort of list of all the people behind Project ARES here.

 

This is very interesting. I'll gladly pledge my support.

Also, the Nebula Exchange sounds like the way to go.

 

I'd definitely be interesting, I'd really like to see a large-scale role-play server that actually has lots of people and an effective "planetary war" type of system inside of it. I'd love to play, and I have friends too!

 

Current Staff are as follows. I will update as responsibilities change, and as we add more people.

I have a few others I am speaking with in private messages and skype. If they show interest perhaps they may be able to start as staff.
I may have a few friends from minecraft server hosts in the past who may help come and give some structure as well.

As we get closer to release we can get a full staff layout i think.

I made the original base idea, and Profound helped flesh it out as we bounced ideas back and forth.
I want the community involved so that this is "our idea, our server" and not welcome to Profound & zephyrland haha.

In any event I got a rough draft of the Ironstar Raiders icon. Still a few more tweaks, but I want to have a sort of "uniform patch" for all the factions

It is currently just a project name, the actual server name is largely undecided. Suggestions welcome!

 

Hmm.....not sure at this time if I wanna join the IDF, or the SEC... . Both seem attractive in their own ways. Do I enter the role of a Knightma- I mean, Mech engineer and Contraband developer? Or do I venture off and get some strong funds for my own personal projects?

Come join the IDF with me We have cookies. That's the faction I can see myself setting up my first character in. I'd love to have an unaffiliated character too but that can always come later. Also that Ironstar Raiders patch looks sweet.

 

I'd love to help in any way I could. I could definitely help with the community once the server gets up, possibly help you guys with writing the lore and behind the scenes stuff? I'm a writer at heart, so you could just put me wherever you think I could do the most good.

Very interesting! i have never been in a major roleplay server but this seems rather thought out and interesting! it pushes my curiosity buttons!

 

Hnn... it lacks a certain je ne sais quoi. Doesn't really speak to me or seem like it pertains to the events or societies within Project ARES.

 

Will PvP be enabled at all times and will it be full loot??

 

PvP enabled at all times? I wouldn't suggest it until we're absolutely sure about the kind of people we have part of the server.

And what do you mean 'Will it be full loot?'. What's that have to do with roleplaying?

 

Guessing "full loot" is related to PvP. Kill someone, do I get all their stuff or not? Personally PvP would turn me off of what otherwise seems like an interesting idea. Roleplaying servers in other games have never really impressed me, but this has a promising idea behind it at least. Time will tell.

 

Yes I'd suggest keeping that Roman/Greek theme going on, hm... Project Jupiter, Project Artemis, Project Hades/Pluto? IDK keep that whole god thing. You could also try Egypttion gods if you don't find anything you like?

 

I was always a sucker for the name Artemis. Project Artemis has my vote~
