Closed Progression issue. Can't warp to gate :(

Recently switched over to the unstable build. i've attempted to carefully follow the quest progression and i'm up to the need to visit the gate outpost in hopes of getting 20 erchius crystals, however i'm not able to make my ship go to the gate. i can visit the other planets within the same system while being at 0/1000 fuel. but otherwise i'm stuck. i thought previously that when i jumped a step and completed something before i should've that maybe it bugged out the game, i've blown away folders, .config etc. fully reinstalled, deleted my character and started anew. but to no avail. Also as a side note, my friend on the same hosted server is able to take his ship to the gate, we however when we arrive only find one quest giver and he just wants us to catch bugs...

I'm hoping i'm not beating a dead horse with this post. couldn't find anything in my search of the forums for another post regarding this.

 

Did you talk to the ships AI?

Edit: Oh and that one quest is the start quest. She/he responds by telling others that you are helpful. And then you get more quests.

Back up your player folder before starting, perform the steps in that thread, and test on a new character to see if you're still getting this problem (once your problem is fixed you may be able to restore your character without causing more issues).

If you're still having issues after trying those fixes, post a copy of your starbound.log here so it can be looked over.
