Sparring bots... yessssss. OMG building bots and make em fight like a bunch of gladiators! *Glitches maul me to non-existence*
I think the idea around scripting the robot would punish non-scripters such as me. There should be simple commands you could choose for the robot to do, and you could link them together, for more simple "programming", such as Attack, repeat, for _ seconds, return to player, etc in example, I would link these together like this. Attack, until no hostile mobs nearby, return to player, follow player, until, hostile mob nearby, loop I find scripting irritating to learn, and i feel adding this feature without simple commands like i suggested would handicap certain players such as I. Not everyone can script or just learn it.
Or you could just type the logbook's name for something, like this: Patrol a x block by y block area. Attack Crabmikazes, but run from Apex. Mine Cobythril you find.
I'd imagine a robot would be a vehicle chassis with a computer attached, rather than just an item. So's you could customize your robot. Maybe that means it'll get balanced when vehicles do(Especially if there's a durability limit for tools
I see this as a great idea for being able to tell security systems what to attack and when. *example: a turret that you could tell to attack hostile enemies, other players, anyone not in your group, or you could specify people in a main security hub to not attack. I think it would be too time consuming to make it a fully programmable system like a computer is. I see it more of as a nice idea for a simple way to give advanced players the option to adjust their game play to help them, without going overboard.
What Would Also Be Cool Is Being Able To Upgrade Them So They Can: -Go underwater -fireproof -make them wireless so you can control them from your computer or remote control!
You racist scumbag! even saying that you can hack such thing as a glitch race to do your bidding is offensive
