Hi folks, Firstly i'd like to say that i'm really enjoying Starbound Beta and i'm sure you guy's are too! but there was one thing i was expecting to see in the stage 1 Beta and that is of course what all games need player statistics here are the things what i thought would be very useful for the Starbounder as follows Hours played. Planets explored ( must rotate around the planet to your spawn point) Kills/Deaths. Favorite weapon. Most pixels carried on self. Items mined : Coal,Copper,Iron,silver,gold etc... Well you get the drift, and on that note a level up system would be nice too! Maybe all this will be implemented in the game soon and if i have missed any info regarding this would love to here guys! whats your thoughts on Character progression and what would you like to see added to the game soon? Yeah i think it has to be a must! as it gives the player as sense of progression and also shows other players how experienced you are and what you have achieved.
Hours played is more or less already in with the use of Steam, but it sure would be nice to know the playtime spent on one specific character. I also like the other idea's, simple but can be fun to have.
Totally. I remember playing another sandbox game a while ago, it was fun checking who had the best stats and so on with friends.

This is why it should hopefully be in the game because your totally right its is simple and simple mechanic what every game has. i cant think of any game what doesn't have player stats also i think if they were going to put it into game it would fit nicely in the log book where all the quests are shown.

Oh, when I moved it, I forget to mention, I like the idea of tracked stats. Part of me thinks they will be adding it around the same time they add any Steam Achievs.
I hope so! and what do you mean by tracked stats? sorry Edit.... i get you now sorry was having a derpish moment there, and yes i hope they put this in the game soon where would you like to see it a the start menu or your log book in game or even both would be nice!
The first think I wanna say is.... "Samurai Pizza Caaaats!!" xD Great Idea I would love to see what I accomplished and all and yeah I would love some level system too although you level primary with your gear ^^ +1!!
