This suggestion is for produce-based launchers and weapons so you can use the things you grow in order to fight. Depending on the food's properties it will have different effects when fired or launched out of the appropriate launcher/gun. From Left to Right: Pea(Pistol Ammo) Grape(Rifle Ammo) Carrot(Sniper Ammo) Apple, Lemon and Orange(Grenades/GL Ammo) Banana(Bomb) Melon(Explosive/Rocket Launcher Ammo) Pumpkin(High Explosive/Cannon Ammo) These are the basic sizes of ammunition, but many other things that you grow can be substituted. Say you grow a small apple-sized fruit that would normally blind and poison the user upon ingestion. When launched from the Fruit Launcher(Grenade Launcher substitute), it explodes and applies those same status effects on affected targets as well as dealing kinetic damage and knocking them back. This would give the player a renewable source of ammunition and an alternative method of acquiring new and interesting types of ammo for those players who don't like mining or exploring as much.
That sounds like fun. Firing pumpkins out of a cannon especially. And planting banana breaching charges into a building.
I like this idea except that I would make the food non-edible and a different type from your regular food so it could have something about it to make it an ammo source. Also I think they should deal less damage then a regular steel or iron bullet because they aren't as solid. The idea works great though and could be used in many ways especially for cheap explosives. Either way you have my backing for it to be implemented.
