i would say 10$ to 20$ some where between those two prices
as minecraft costs around 20$ and terraria costs 10$ i would say maybe 15$ as a reasonable payment
any way i would pay anything for the game because it looks that awesome.

Considering they aren't the same thing the prices of previous games should not hold that much bearing over this one

Can't just throw numbers out there, but I'm willing to pay a reasonable amount.

The problem is 20 dollars is pretty high for an indie game (generally). And particularly for a 2d sprite based one. Now obviously we all know that Starbound is a lot deeper than that. But to Gamer Billy who hasnt heard of Starbound and just sees it on Steam (or wherever) will probably say, 20 bucks for this? Way overpriced!

That's not to say it can't be 20 bucks, I just think that price will be prohibitively expensive.

As long as there is enough replay value I don't particularly care how much it costs to purchase; at the end of the day money is money, you'll get more money eventually anyway and you're more than likely to waste it on crap. I'd rather spend it on entertainment that I know will last. I avoid buying games games which last for a single play through because they're what I consider to be a waste of money. Terraria had a great amount of replay value, as does Minecraft. Why would Starbound be any different?

I think we have to keep in mind that the price we (those of us already interested in paying) isnt necessarily relevent. The game needs to be priced to interest consumers. Someone who has never heard of Starbound should see the game, see the price, and be willing to pay it.

    20$ isn't much for a game, when i was a kid you couldn't get a game under 60€ lolz
