* warning i have bad spelling* hi i would like to suggest that for the very very erly beta testersget the game for like free to $3 and increace after that, so the people that are folowing the forums and web sites pre-relece can have some cind of bounus( i get you need to make money to) also that the game can be easaly played by crishtans ( magic be opshanal , blood or gore can be turned off or on, no human killing ......ext.) plz consiter ( beging face).
The Devs are going to have a closed beta, so this idea wouldn't work. However, a pre-order would be a good idea, and they're most likely going to do something along those lines. Finally, the Devs don't have to censor their game just to appease some religious group. If someone doesn't want to play a game because they think their religion doesn't let them, that's their loss. However, I think that a blood and gore option might be a good idea, although pretty much not necessary.
Steam usually does pre-orders for big titles, pre-orders are rarely available for indie's, though i don't know what the process to make a game pre-order available on steam is.
3 dollars to free? That would make them lose cash. Pre-order would be nice, and just curios but whats bad with magic?
Some religious groups are so against it, they tried to ban Harry Potter. They believe Magic=Devil Worship, or something along those lines. I believe by "deta", he meant beta.
Ok I wasn't quite sure why. Thanks for the info and the deta thing I thought it meant beta, but I had wanted to make sure.
Chucklefish will not modify their game to cater to those who aren't awesome enough to understand that it's a goddamn videogame. I see plenty of Christians playing Halo and Call of Duty - Starbound is what I'd call "adorable". You'll just have to dealwithit.jpg
one moment, thinking calmly so I can respond to this is a casual tone and not an angry one... Having a beta available for either pre-order would be good, but this aint Minecraft man, they are putting in some hardcore work before it is even going to be in beta, so no, it probably wont be 3$. Oh and a small tip for forums and really just the internet in general: avoid citing religion as a reason on the internet, particularly on indie game sites. most games tend to have highly diverse and often free-thinking members, so it helps to not mention religion as a purpose for doing something, has a decent chance of starting a flame war on the wrong forums. Just a good tip for internet etiquette. It also helps to not lump an entire religion group in as sharing your viewpoint.
