Alright.. I am only going to say this once.

Tiy already confirmed the beta is coming out before 2014 and that the game will be released somewhere in the future still unknown where they do not wish to say when because it was all to tidious to say and they don't want to be pinned up again.

All your reluclant posts about stuff that no-one honestly cares about are more or less redudant and it get's you no-where except bothering yourself with more questions and more doubts.

WAIT AND SEE WHAT TIME WILL BRING.

    PATIENCE IS A VIRTUE.

So to you guys who post those things.

A bad game will be a bad game , no matter how long it takes to release it. A good game will be a good game...no matter how rushed it is......there is still the fact though that games usually get better depending on how much time is spent developing them.

Lets use Minecraft as an example....it was great in Alpha , it was better on release , and it keeps getting better the longer it is development. (This is mostly opinion)
How about another game...Terraria was good on release and just kept getting better as the patches started rolling in.

The games that don't improve are the ones that don't see any work done on them. Where they get to a certain point and all development stops.

I can understand wanting to get your game up to the point where it isn't a mass of bugs and incomplete content.....Especially since first impressions are extremely important....you can kill a game by releasing it at the point where it leaves mediocre first impressions........So take your time....just remember to keep us in the loop..."a non-communicative company is a dead company"

    Edit:
This post is all opinion and has no basis in fact......

Then you shouldn't have wasted the breath in the reply...

I can't tell what was wrong with my post that way......

    No, I haven't .
    ======

I tried to note that the post was mostly opinion....I will go in again and make it more obvious.

Just wondering because you've named that example about 40 times in this thread alone, have you played the game since its release? I hear it got a lot of patches which have made it a lot better.

One other point he doesn't mention was Total War: Rome II was a full release in it's buggy state, and patched up and improved on with some improvement left to go. No one wants the final build of Starbound to be a buggy mess, as I mentioned it seems most people are ok with waiting for the final release, it's the beta, unfinished build we wish to receive before the year is out.

Ever heard of swords of the stars 2? 50 euros down the drain...becaused of rushed release.

It was the most recent one. I can name plenty of rushed games that had to be hodgepodged patched together AFTER release. AFTER the damage was already done. Rome 2 survived cause the total War series had a big enough following. Just look at Angry Joe's review of it.

As far as I can tell, no one is asking CF to rush the release.

Unfortunately they don't understand that beta =/= release. It is beta.. a buggy hodgepodge yadda yadda like Darklight said because.. shock and awe it isn't the final game. It isn't release.

Sadly Chucklefish will probably continue to listen to those that cheer them and not the people outspoken enough to say.. hey you might be making kinda a few mistakes. You know, not that they are human and anything and can't make them like everyone else.

    Including mistakes regarding delays.

Even in this thread I pretty much never saw anything about it. All whose opinions are articulated enough for to me care about want them to release the beta, not to rush the final game. Myself included - I just want to see if promised modding capability is strong enough to implement my ideas, I probably won't even play the beta THAT much.

Ah, now I get you. There are indeed a lot of comments saying the beta should be released now, but not so much with the full release.
