Previous release date delays

Interesting, I guess I don't really read too much into words of an indie developer, sense he is just person like you and I, who simply has a chance to make a game, so he said what he wanted to say, whether right or wrong or pc or not.

I s'pose I can understand why a few people are antsy about.., -gestures around in a vague, desperate attempt to emphasize everything- for whatever reason-, especially those who made quite the hefty pre-order purchase.

And those who have been following the game for a good fair while and have had that nagging need for Starbound; akin to that of a man in desperate need for a fix of the good stuff that has afflicted(or blessed, rather; since afflict is almost never good..) him/her. But those recently joining and have only been around a month or so; made little to no contribution to the teams effort, be it a pre-order, feedback, opinions, ideas, etc.etc; and done nothing but whine, moan and complain? Shut up(tie your fingers to a heavy-set weight for those who wanna get nit-picky), and do everyone and yourself a favor.

Yes, yes, oh god, it went from DEFINITELY 2013 to estimating. Oh lord, oh jegus, it's all coming down in shambles, there is no longer a Starbound to be had; Chucklefish was doing a super trolling all along. Everybody get riled up and glaze themselves up in a highly-combustible powder so they can burst into flames upon the poor individual that says anything remotely supportive/helpful/oppositetohowtheyfeel/blablabla. Let's pretend this has never happened before and act like it's a travesty.

Cripes, lads'n'lasses. Chill pill it down, have something sweet to eat then go do something else. There's still a little over two monthes of 2013 left. -Goes back to napping/hibernating until delishus Starbound arrives.-

 

If you expecting indie developers to act like a giant studios with publishers which have huge offices dedicated specifically for communicating with community, you gonna have a bad day...

 

why should a indie developers be any less accountable than the rest of the working world

 

you know its funny how people assume that the people who are complaining are the people who have only been around a month

indie= no publisher other than the company itself. they can be rich as fuck

If this somehow continues, even in a zombified state with only a few posts per day, I'll laugh. At this rate, everyone's going to be arguing in this thread until the beta actually comes out

 

I rather enjoyed that game, though I admit I am a little disappointed to have spent what I did, life moves on and I'll have it for a couple of laughs when I need them in any case.

Back on topic, I'm willing to wait and I thank Tiy for trying to address the public about all this...blah. While I agree that folks have reason to have concern if we don't have the Beta by the end of this year, we still have 2 months to go. I say give them the time to go through the next couple months to finish things up for the Beta, if we don't see it by the 1st of January, yeah, people will have a right to be a bit upset after all the talk bout it coming out this year. (the beta) I, however, will continue waiting, as I'm sure the game will be worth the wait, and honestly, it seems silly to be getting into such a fuss over a video game. The refund option is still there, if you're that upset with how things are going go do that. Otherwise let's just look to the future and wait for the game. At least for myself, if it doesn't come out, I'm only out $15. I can easily get that refunded if things do not go the way they intend if it were to bother me that much, which they don't. Good luck CF, I can only hope that we'll see the game sooner than later and that it'll be the most amazing thing I've played for a long time.

 

I can only hope a thread-lock happens before that. This thread has turned to a ravenous horde of GIV ME STRBUND NYAAAAO, 'lol u quoted famous developers and mentioned how bad CoD really is, weak and lame' smug-guys and other misfits, for the most part.

 

I just worry the later you release during the year, the less appeal you will end up having with all the other games coming out.

It is quite laughable tbh i mean nothing we say in this thread or any other is going to make them release it any quicker, a lot of people on here are wasting their time.....but oh well some people may think they can make a difference and kudos to them if they do
