I can't really see sometime in 2013 as being anything else but an estimation.

Seems to me he is just meeting some repeated concerns that have been all to common in updates at the moment. We should hold back on storming the castle....for now.

This is true, DNF obsolete before the release date, but it caused me nostalgic.

 

We don't disagree on that point, I am not asking for a refund and I still look forward to playing, but "estimating" suggests maybe 2013 but there's some possibility we'd be wrong, it's kind of a guess. When they took my money a 2013 release was an absolute no questions asked guarantee.

 

I really don't care when it's released. There are thousands of other great games to play until then.

You're projecting an objective definition onto an arbitrary interpretation of what "estimate" means, so no.

They said quite clearly, and repeatedly that 2013 was their limit; especially during the pre-order. It's still right here in the FAQ at this very moment.

If you interpret "estimate" as "past the 2013 limit" then yes. But that interpretation is arbitrary.
Why? Because I can claim that "estimate" means "BEFORE the end of 2013" and still be completely within the bounds of their original claim.

Bottom line: If it isn't out by 2013, complain. Complain a lot.
Until then, stop trying to stretch something they say to justify your need to complain.

We both remember the phrase from the "original" FAQ. About acceleration.

I guessed that the developer does not have time to finish before the end of the year. I believe that he was spending time on unnecessary things, such as musical instruments. But instead of apologizing for the delay, he substitutes the FAQ and just behave proudly.
