It's the not knowing that's the worst part, so while a part of me is like an impatient child on Christmas Day who just wants to play with his toys naonaonaonaoNAO, that's kept in check thanks to the near-daily updates on development and posts like this.

    Thanks for the post. :)

First, I am not really patient...
but I have see too much games (but also other software) with a amazing potential become...
shit when they release it too quick. (need to release it for Christmas to having the maxsale possible...)
    Two: beta.

Everyone have their vision of what a beta is.
For some, this is when the game game can be play... with 324253456462657 bugs...
and you start walking through some walls, crash and everything... but the beta is release really quick.

For some other, it is when the game is stable. It take more time bug less bug.

And for the last of them, like for starbound, it is when the game
satisfy them. Enough equipment, enemies, good AI, really stable... not complete, but close... (they can add a lot of stuff after that... you have no idea)
It take time... a lot of it...

    All that for saying:
I wait for the game. If it is november, I will be happy.
If it is for december I will be happy.
If you have to wait until next year I will start a riot I will wait (for now the release date is still 2012 so... don't panic :p)
I will scream each time the update had no "beta" new.
I will be more and more excited each time you had something awesome or simply fix some bugs. (or create one. Bzzzz)
I will try 34390 others shitty (and 2 or 3 good ones) games for make me thinking about something else...

    But I will wait.
(... sorry for the grammar... your poor eyes :p)

At this point, nothing surprises me any more. Seriously, damn near every post a dev makes gets a rage response from some folks. Reading this thread, I'm starting to wonder if Tiy's speaking a different language than these people - the comprehension fail is just so huge...

I can't help thinking that some of them are going to have serious hypertension issues if they keep up like this. Particularly over something as inconsequential as a game. I'd hate to be them when they actually encounter a major problem - they'd probably explode. Literally.

    First of all:
I do not care what the fanboys will say.

For me the biggest mistake was to say that the money from pre-oder would speed up your game development, maybe yes, but the problem was to create an illusion among the pre-order to be released this year. You complain so much that the community is rushing you, but unintentionally, you rushed us too. I understand that the end game needs to be polished, but I paid to have at least the beta this year.

It's called a process, and besides, it does in a sense speed up development, it allows more money to go to beta-testing and creating updates and new content, and besides, shit happens.

No, they have the virtue of patience, get over the fact you can't have everything right now, because if you did, you would be a spoiled little shit.
