Quick question this time. How do I prevent an object from having its sprite and orientation from flipping? For example, X is on left, Y is on right. I want it to always be that way, instead of Y being left and X being right when I change directions during placement. I can't figure it out, and it's driving me nuts. I'm doing this for a bed, if that matters.
Sorry for the late response. That unfortunately doesn't work. What that does is makes you sit on the correct/opposite orientation, like your feet at the headboard.
I thought this would be easy to figure out but I've spent twenty minutes looking at .object files and it's got me stumped. You'd think it'd be the "orientations" section of the .object file, but the only things I could find with more than one orientation were the "bunker corner" girder and the "captain's chair" and I don't think either of those work properly when you try to change the direction of their placement. Comparing say the "stonefurnace" and "refinery" items, they're incredibly similar but one can be placed in either direction and one can't - and I cannot for the life of me work out why.
I know, right? It's something there that we probably can't even edit. Kinda ruins the mod I'm making, what with a directional shine on glass and all, but whatever. I'm sure someone will figure it out. I give up for now.
is it dualImage? Code: "image" : "refinery.png:<color>.<frame>", vs Code: "dualImage" : "stonefurnace.png:<color>.<frame>",
Oh wow, it was. dualImage did the flip, but image kept it facing the direction the sprite was made to face. Thank you!
Yeesh, I spent so long looking and didn't see that. Seems like that's it, all the prison graffiti has "image" rather than "dualimage", so I think we have a winner. Well spotted mate.
