Preorder Milestone rewards?

I don't see any threads discussing this or know of anything else so lock this thread if there is.

Since Chucklefish went with the kickstarter method, should preorder milestone rewards be added too? Would be cool! But it's optional though.

Like, if 100,000$ is raised, everyone who paid/ everyone gets *Cool something*
if 500,000$ is raised, everyone who paid/ everyone gets *Cooler something* etc
OR
if 10,000 people are backers, etc etc etc you know what I mean.

EDIT: New race introduced if 500,000$ achieved guys! Guess Chucklefish already planned this!

 

It would be interesting, but what would be the rewards? I can't really think of anything right now.

 

Idk really. Maybe everyone gets some cape ingame that preordered or something or a forum embroider or something and it gets better as it goes up?

 

It'd be fun. I always love things like that.

 

The reward everyone is getting, is that starbound will be completed sooner.
The tiers are just a way to allow people to donate more, and the rewards are nothing more than an acknowledgement/thank you by chucklefish.

 

I don't reckon pre-order should get any extra in game content, and since the team are going to continue working on this for at least a year after release, milestones for everyone wouldn't mean much more.

It is always fun watching milestones be smashed though. Perhaps the happy penguin counts as something.

 

Sounds nice but it would be unfair to the people, wich aren't able to preorder.
And getting the game avaliabe for everyone is a great reward wich isn't unfair.

 

I like the idea of a cape for everyone who pre-orders.

As long as the rewards are purely cosmetic I'm fine with it.
How about a ☼ (or some other symbol) next to one's ingame name?

So if I preordered (I HAVEN'T DONE IT - YET. Because PayPal.), my nick would be DarkDXZ☼ instead of plain DarkDXZ.

More things for character customization! Hair, faces, etc?

 

Funny how people used to be all about "You buy the game you get everything that comes with it", but now that the preorder's out people's opinions have changed.

 

If any 'stretch goals' were to be set, I would hope that they would simply be extensions of the game; giving players more of what was already being worked on (more monsters, more planets, more options, etc.).

Personally I would like to see them offer a new playable race of some kind if the pre-order totals surpasses a certain mark (250k or 500k). However if they do anything like this, I am sure it will be something they would feel confident they could add to the game in a reasonable amount of time.

 

I voted for everyone will take the reward.

 

I don't think if they did do that, it shouldn't be things that would make people upset about missing out on. Simple things clothing accessories or decorations for the space station or something. Things like that.

 

Hmm personally I do not think they need to do anything and should just get to work on the game making it as best they can for EVERYONE.

I do not think we need pre-order milestones.

But if we DO they should go to everyone content should not be exclusive.

That's my two cents anyway.
