Okay now I know what your probably thinking "Theirs no way powers could work in this game kid" Well on the contrary my drear friend they could. Now say the first planet you land on ,witch is the same every time, you happen to find a glowing artifact and as soon as you pick it up you start glowing for a few seconds after you stop then you realize that you have a new tab in you character select screen and you had to pick your first power it would be weak because your only LV.1 when you get this but as you level up you can level up your deferent powers as well jest like in my profile picture I'm doing a chidori ,move from Naruto, I jest think that would be a cool feature to add for a more fun time with friends plus it well be even better for the role players. so tell me wait you thought about it and say in the comments what powers you would like in the game.

I feel like tech does this without a "level" system.

Sorry, Dev's have cemented the idea that they do not wan't a leveling system for the players. Instead 'levels' are replaced with just wearing higher tiered armor and using higher tiered gear.

did you know going up in tier essentially "levels you up" ? With tech you feel the satisfaction of leveling up without leveling up systems in place. no grinding countless hours.

    Hello There Soul Kazuma
To be honest, your idea is rationally and logically formed quite nicely, but i never liked leveling and stats stuff, and im quite very happy with it wont be in starbound, let me tell you why
Starbound is a game with content reliant 80% on technology, you gain powers by implanting chips into your body and...protecting your weak body
MMO's always had problem with this, you have level 1 and meet 78 level, and there's the problem, simply,he has as example open leather armor,so you can simply pull out your knife, and slit his throat, well, you cant,it wont even work in MMO's you cant actually do what has to be possbile, and unlogically solves the gamers immersion and boundary to the game
I want system that gives you exactly something like this "What you find, you can use EVERYTIME" yes,you can find after 1 second of gameplay strongest armor, but just because Starbound is constant evolution, you wont do so
I dont want Starbound to be leveling game, where you level up,and then create new char, you cant beat lvl 80 while you just started, and thats what i just dont like,it isnt about your true skills, but about what gear and buttons you have, thats whole deal, thats whole game
Giving player an opportunity to propulse all the freedom the player wants is the way to keep the gameplay immersive and persistent in bilion ways, you can beat off whole fully armed military squad if you will fight and move smart and tactically, not because they shoot to you 10000 bullets, but they magically dissapear in your lungs because you have 70 000 HP instead of 15 (one hit,One HP)
That's it,to keep players in the game, and give them the freedom that would make them strong,as they want to,not strong,as the game limits them to,your idea is a good idea and fits to the "suggestions" topic, but i dont think there should be even something with levels, powers ..YES! but no levels, you can gain ingame powers by implanting chip into your as example hand, and gain parkour skill,or telekinesis, and more you upgrade the chip, the more powerfull it becomes, but it isnt reliant on ANY system,so you can freely upgrade it from lowest to highest
    have a nice day tough!

Yes I can see how my idea well never get in the game I'm jest saying that I thought it was a nice idea for some people that like that kind of thing but think you for telling me this, now I know.

Well you wouldn't have to per say jest use the power a specific amount of times and on a specific enemy so that it wouldn't be easy but it wouldn't be to hard (kinda like the forms in kingdom Hearts 2)

    SR4 is fucking amazing.

However just because one game has super powers doesn't mean every other one has to.
