Posters and Pics for your Home

Hey guys!

Your home 's your castle! Thats why I think it would be a nice little touch if the game would offer the possibilty to decorate your home with a variety of nice pictures, such as seen already in various media. My point comes now: Wouldn't it be kinda cool if there were to be themed pictures and posters you can craft?

Im thinking about stuff like:

evolutionary posters: For humans you could show the evolution from apes to modern men; while for the apex the direction would be, of course, the other way round, from men to apes ; the glitch, on the other hand, could show their past from screw to toasters to the terminator (probably); Florans might get a "family-tree".

I absolutely love the time you guys spent on coming up with all the little details, it makes this game so much likeable than most of the high budget ones on the market. So maybe that idea would add to this spirit.

Things like this have been shown multiple times in screenshots already...

 

However, nothing really to due with evolution. I love the idea of the different races having completely different forms of evolution, and it will be cool to show them of at your base. another cool feature would be to get continually updated pictures from the servers and hang them up on your wall, eg, once a week a guess comes in and pixel arts a painting.

 

That seems like a ton of work for some decorations.

 

But who doesn't like decorations? It will also allow them to have posters that they can share, fore example, if they have a special event, they can upload adverts of that event, or if there is a huge gathering going on, a poster can have a map that shows the cord for that gathering. When you think about it, it actually isn't that much work, because they are small files, it will be no problem creating them and downloading them. Either have them just separate of have just one sheet of them and update the sheet, they only have to write a simple piece of code that will connect to the DB, check the latest version, download it and then apply it.

Any way, off topic, i shall be quiet, for now...

 

How about custom posters? So people can upload their own backgrounds.

 

Well Tiy said the game is very moddable (dunno if that's a word), and as long as you have a sprite adding a banner/poster should be pretty simple.

 

I think we do have posters and pictures in game.

 

Or even really pixelated versions of your in-game snapshots (then right click to access the full-resolution version)
