    More Intuitive Player Progression.
    More Adult Themed Content As Grimmturd mentioned.
    More Unique Living Environments And A Variety Of Different Sci Fi Quests.
    A Pixel Cap.
    The Reasoning Behind Selling Things.. Perhaps For Building Up A Haggle Skill. Oh Wait SB isn't A RPG. Mmm probably why this game has no solid structuring cause skills are non-existent.
    Boss Mechanics as Grimmturd Applied.
    Rework The Base Matter Manipulator.
    Add Item Rotation For Each Item.
    I Seriously Could go on forever. How Empty this game is.
    Underground Content still not having a its own underlying themes of content and missing weather/hazards.
    Player movement the ability to grab ledges and roll. To note a few.
    Did I mention Combat Mechanics.
    Npc's having no purpose but standing around Gawking at you. At least put some in digging up the ground. Or floating around on moons. Perhaps make them the give coordinates to the player for a quest of new technology and gear. Jeez anything would be ideal.
    Like I said I could go on and on. How to defibrillate this dying fish.

    to be serious though: cat people that aren't na'avi, the ability to stop equipment in the non vanity slot from showing up on your character, a race that isn't a biped, fully customisable ship (maybe a docking station where you can do soemthing to dat shit)

    Playable race of anthropomorphic kangaroos.
    Customizable difficulty options for both gameplay changes (enemy AI, strength and numbers, along with loot and ore distribution and rarity) and death penalties.
    Dialogue choices.
    Branching plot / quest paths.
    Ability to store pixels as items.

    -Creatures that look as if they belong to the environment they inhabit

    -More interactive NPCs with personalities
    -Ways to make your own specially weapons and attachments by combinding metals to produce more alloys

    I also second Jonesy. Anthropomorphic sentient kangaroos implemented as either a playable or encounterable race (or both) would be awesome.

    Don't know about you, but I'd love to have some boomerangs and didgeridoos lying about my spaceship.

    - The ability to craft ice. Seriously, how does this not exist?!
    - More competent NPCs. They're not bad, but having them avoid things that actually kill them would be a good plus. Making them go to beds when they're low on health is also a good idea.
    - Tool merchants with cheaper bombs in public villages. I love me dem bombs.
    - Customizable armor color. Some mods already do this, full integration with the game and making it a reality would be a good step.
    - Planet-wide cities. I want buildings in every corner, houses on every street, everywhere.

    • Active Randomized Supply routes of merchants [If planet "x" village is destroyed --< planet "y" prices increases or loose certain goods"
    • See towns grow and shrink based on how much goods you buy and sell them
    • Mech based Enemies
    • Tornadoes
    • Braw's Dragon Dildo Emporium [ custom npc shop ]
    • Status effects being able to hurt player once again - seems they fixed it !!
    • Leveled damage for liquids
    • Planets spontaneously combusting randomly
    • Over heating
    • Space Ships which have customized parts
    • Debuff's

    Holly spaceballs, planetwide city development that doesn't require you to place EVERY single block would make me squeal like a 10 year old in a toystore... Or at the dentist. Whichever is louder and more pig-like.

    i want to see placeholder mechanics gone.

    i want to see regular villages and towns and such become "hubs".

    i want to see worldgen variables tied to other variables (big planet, high gravity. close to star, hot biome, etc etc)

    i want to see something more added to the game besides weather, biomes, and hats (and integrated mods, for that matter)

    oh, speaking of weather, i'd like to see precipitation come from something other than a cloudless sky.

    oh, i'd like to also see that ugly "reset" of the skyfield/ planet rotation go away.

    I want to meet the "Branch Master" of Starbound that I keep hearing about. Is he or she Avian? Apex? Oh, gawd! Please tell me it isn't floran!

    I also want steam achievements a mile long.

    And lots of easter eggs of the devs. Mollygos FTW.

    Besides what I know is planned for the game already:
    1.) Less vertical gameplay. Instead of higher stats, I just want more unique options to form combos with.
    Like seriously, levels of customization like those seen in Custom Robo or Armored Core.
    I don't just mean I want more content; I literally want my tier 1 armor and weapons to be practical during endgame.
    2.) Health should be expressed in percentages for players, raw numbers for mobs and bosses.
    The way people think about player health is different than how they think about enemy health, and this reflects that.
    You might care a lot about being below 50% health, but against enemies DPS is more important than %.
    3.) Different levels of item rarity is a lame mechanic. I want all my stuff to be awesome.
    If you want players to have to work hard to get "legendary" gear, then just have it only available at higher tiers.
    Within the same tier, all content should be evenly available to prevent tedious searching for rares.
    4.) More cats. Kittens also. The feline element is severely lacking in Starbound.
    I once saw a suggestion for a rocket launcher weapon that fires exploding cats instead.
    Seriously, if you are still questioning whether this is a good idea, just stop.
    5.) Armor stats and bonuses need to be more flexible. Returning to the concept in #1, more customization!
    As-is, helmets are your source of more energy regen, body armor is your source of health increases, etc...
    I'd rather see pieces of every body part potentially giving any bonus, with less focus on matching sets.
    6.) More interesting underground terrain structures, probably formed using the dungeon generator.
    Also, you can't beam up and digging slows you down, so the rewards should be higher than the surface.
    We need a lot more incentive to explore beneath the surface, and I know that is planned, but I have high hopes.
    7.) The same worries and gripes everyone already has regarding combat, content, and progression.
    I could just echo what other people have said before, "Balance, balance, balance. Add more content."
    While I'm unsure and anxious not knowing what the end product will actually be like, I have faith in Chucklefish.

    For testing reasons?

    1. A temporary for beta instant endgame button unlocking all sectors and giving a base set of high tier armor/tools. Why? Because while its unlikely wipes could still happen, character corruption might while testing unstable branches. Being able to jump to a position late game would let people who have done the boss fights repeatedly avoid them to test or hunt for recently added content, in the event something happened. (Its true this is partially doable with mods.. but a non-modded way would be preferable)

    2. Improved UI. This would include things like a character delete button on the menu, inventory remembering where you dragged it, and continued revisions such as the improved Starnav look Omni worked on today that displays hazards. I think being able to easily and quickly sort through things would be beneficial.

    Non testing? More heavy nods to Aliens that where present in early screenshots. You've got dropship assets Chucklefish, is finding a use really that hard? I can think of one.. Solar-Dropship upgrade. Lets you travel between planets in a system without expending any fuel. Rather then beaming up/down though you have to return to the dropship to get back to your primary one should you use it to avoid fuel costs.
