    Potential fix for your resolution issue:

    Go to your "SteamApps\common\Starbound\assets" folder and open "default_configuration.config" with a text editor like notepad or notepad++.

    Find these lines:
    "windowedResolution" : [1920, 1080],
    "maximizedResolution" : [1920, 1080],
    "fullscreenResolution" : [1920, 1080],

    Change the "1920, 1080" to whatever your resolution is.

    If that doesn't help you can launch the game in safe mode from your steam library to skip the launcher.

    3GB Triple channel Ram (no swap)
    EVGA 280 (pulled one out to not use SLI)
    Resolution 2560x1200
    Just updated to vis C++ 2012 SP4 (as recommended earlier in thread)

    Same as others. Have tried making the process faster and slower (cpu-burn-in) nothing works. Sever Crashes about 1 out of 4 tries, with different errors

    I understand, but the waiting till now makes this very frustrating. In Beta level testing I do expect the program to start to the point of human input. This is more of an Alpha release bug.

    But again is just frustration. I was planing on a server test with a bunch of remote friends in two minutes from now... uggg

    Holding your windows key (the one between Ctrl and Alt on the left side of your keyboard) and pressing "D" will minimize all windows.

    You're not alone.

    Not sure if I heard it right, but listening to the live stream someone mentioned that 32bit systems are just going to have to wait for the time being as there is no workaround. Could be wrong though....

    Should I try to run it in Win 95 Mode ?

    If this is true, they should update the steam page to let people know.

    senritsu Seal Broken

    I just heard on stream that it`s problem because this root file is pretty big and with old hdd or antivirus in background it can take really long time to unpack it, and it will be fixed after they change file system to pack or pak (don`t know how to call it, they said just 'pak').
