    -Background-
Hello, I've constantly been part of the group of people that still can't get the game to work, update after update, fix after fix. First, all Windows XP users couldn't run the game, and there was an unofficial fix posted by _Sammy_, that fixed the problem for most, but I again was with the group of people that still couldn't run the game. Then there was an update, and that enabled a lot more people to play the game, but again, I still couldn't along with a bunch of others. Then came a user named denafox who posted a possible fix using the 3D Analyzer program, and again, I'm still among the group of people that still can't play, which, I'm assuming is a really low number at this point.

    -Possible Helpful Information-
After another attempt to see if the game would run, I got the same error that I usually get, but then a few seconds later, I got another error, that I hadn't had before, or hadn't waited long enough to get. I am hoping posting this error here will allow someone with more knowledge than I to fix the problem for me and the few ppl who still aren't able to play and are having the same problems as I.

This is the error that I usually get.

This is the error that I got second after the previous error, that I hadn't seen before.

Please feel free to ask any clarifying questions, i'd be happy to answer them.

    Edit:

After a few posts a few people have been reporting that they get a 3rd error. For the record I don't get this error, but some others do. The link to it is below.

    Edit 2:

Here is my starbound.log incase this helps someone solve my problem.

Interesting, so it seems safe to assume that and problems related to WindowsXP have been expelled by the developers.

Do you have a good graphics card, or a bad, integrated one?

Do you get both of the errors that I screenshotted, or just the first one?

What are your graphics cards like? Are they good, dedicated graphics cards, or bad, integrated ones?

I've updated the original post with my starbound.log incase that may help someone fix the issue.

It can't find a device to draw on. Update your video drivers, if you haven't, then install DirectX from the _CommonRedist directory in the Starbound directory, see if that helps.

Do you have multiple GPUs, or just the one? If you have an integrated GPU that you aren't using, you may need to disable it in your BIOS (or, at least, in Device Manager).

Tried the DirectX thing, it looked like it did something, but I'm getting the same errors.

And does this mean I have only one GPU?

In my dxdiag, DirectX 9.0c is listed as my DirectX version.

That's the version of DirectX that is installed, but not the featureset the card supports. (If you install Vista, it will say DirectX 10. Win7, DirectX 11.)

This is what I was trying to point out in the 3DAnalyze thread -- the reason turning on Software T&L emulation using 3DAnalyze works is because your GPUs don't support that feature.
