Possible to make own capes?

I like the All-Seeing cape, not just because it affords further views with Ctrl but because it looks cool. Unfortunately while it did match my half Rubium half Aegisalt armour it does not however match my new set of Cerlium.

So my question is: can I dye it or is that not in the game yet? Or craft a cape that doesn't do anything but is blue in colour?

In the unstable/nightly version of the game you can craft normal and short capes at the spinning wheel. They cant be dyed yet, but they are blue.

They will be comming to stable "soon(tm)".

You can change your view with Ctrl at any time, not just with the cape.

    I wish, but sadly no.

    You need mods to dye.

You can use /spawnitem along JSON instructions to make versions of items dyed of certain colors.

Go download SBSE. Or better yet, PM me. I'll make you a cool cape that fits your character, just send me a screenshot of that character. I'll post a world file with a chest containing the cape. Download that world file and put it in your folder.
Edit: pixel hero cape is blue, if you want the vanilla cape.

You aren't using it right, in that case. You can use the advanced option to select new colors.

    Let's see...

    /spawnitem simplecapeback 1 '{"directives":"?replace;6f2919=151515;a85636=383838;e0975c=555555;ffca8a=838383"}'

That will spawn a black cape.

Or you can try something simpler:

    /spawnitem simplecapeback 1 '{"colorIndex":1}'

This will also spawn a black cape. You can change the color index to a number between 1 and 11 for different colors.
