My weapons, the insta-farm, and while I was getting those my sexy navigator kinda got in the escape pod first so i figured it was only fair to not eject her into space.

This is a really interesting concept, thinking of what a person would take if they had to choose. The way they set up the beginning of the game is going to be so interesting. I think it would be beyond epic if we were in just such a scenario, where we were on the burning planet as its being destroyed, and can only grab a few things before having to get off the world.

 

Money, Food and Weapons. Then I can continue to wreak havoc.

 

Now that you've mentioned it, considering how vast Starbound is I wouldn't be surprised if, during a journey, some of us stumble across a planet JUST ABOUT TO EXPLODE. And once we land on the planet the timer to tell us when it's going to explode is about to reach zero and we die from the explosion. That would SUCK.

So, in the event of that, I'd hope there'd be some auto teleport item to instantaneously teleport me and my crew back to our ship.

It's silly how people always say "weapons!". I can make my own weapons out of whatever the planet has, and failing that, i can punch the crap out of anything threatening with my fists. c:

 

That's true and all, but there's nothing like a good kick from a revolver or the buzz of a minigun while its wreaking carnage. Though even with that said, using my fists to ruin the guts of my foes really does sound tempting....
