    Greetings everyone.

I've been planning if I could wipe unused or uninhabited planets data on my server.
To claim a planet that it's used or inhabited, you have to let me know via a forum post or a direct message to me.

The obvious merit is that you can expect virtually infinite resources including minerals, since every planet will be generated anew as per every wipe.
The drawback, however, is the trouble to specify your planet to me.

I'd be happy to hear your opinion on this!
The poll deadline is 5th March.

    Regards,

Just take world files that haven't been modified in the past two weeks or so and move them to an archive folder. If someone complains that their world went missing, you can return it from the archive. This could be automated with a script, but its easy enough if you have a file view access of the universe folder. Just sort by date, go back two weeks, and cut all the worlds older than that. Paste them in an archive folder.

As far as infinite resources, there are trillions of possible worlds. Practically, you'll never run out. If you ran a large server for years, you might hit a hard drive space limit though. Its not a major concern right now though. Keeping a trim universe folder has its merits though! Particularly if you want to view a list of files over SSH...
